This is a cute, quality simple lamp for my reading nook. I like it and got compliments on it.

This lamp is unique in the height, which is why I ordered it. I needed a shorter lamp. It isn't actually adjustable perse, but you can leave one of the sections of rod/stand out. That's why the cord is in the middle of the lamp, so that it doesn't run through all of the rods like is typical, then you wouldn't be able to leave one out to "adjust" the height. So, while the lamp is the height that I needed, it is somewhat rickety overall. Finally got the rods tightened as much as possible to one another and the base so that it's not wobbly, but it certainly doesn't feel sturdy and I'm wondering if it's going to come loose regularly and need to be retightened. Additionally, the shade is very loose. Even with the large "nut" tightened all the way down. The lamp isn't dimmable but it does come with a bulb that has a bright white versus a soft white open--first click on goes to soft, second click to bright, third click to off. If I could find other options that were better for the height that I want then I'd probably return this one. But, since I can't find other options, this one isn't expensive, and I don't have small children to worry about any safety issues, I've decided to keep it. Overall, I'm neutral--right height but wish it were better made/more sturdy/fit together better.

This lamp is just perfect for our family room. We have a large sectional, and we have readers. I have floor lamps and end table lamps and bedside lamps everywhere in my house. This lamp worked well with our esthetic and assembled easily. It is sturdy and well made.it provides great reading light and head swivels nicely.
