These are a nice set of cut resistant, medium weight work gloves. I ordered the 6 pack of size extra large gloves. They do fit pretty well (I normally wear size L to XL) which means they run true to size (if in question on size to order err on the larger size).. They do have a firm fit around the palm and fingers but slide on your hand easily. The wrist area was a good fit but not as tight as other gloves.Like most gloves in this class they feature a hybrid fabric shell, an elastic wrist with an elastic cuff, and a coating around three-fourth of the fingers and the palm or underside of your hand. The material is a mixture of High-Performance Polyethylene (HPPE), steel fiber, polyester and spandex (for stretch). They do not state the gauge of the material but it is likely 13 or thicker. They do feel a little thicker than other gloves in this class. They also feature some reinforcement in the area between the thumb and finger which you don't see in all gloves.The coating on the palm and underside of the fingers is a polyurethane (PU) coating. It gives the gloves a pretty good grip which isn't sticky and some oil resistance. You do have pretty good dexterity with these gloves. As with all gloves of this type they promote their touchscreen compatibility and with most gloves the answer is that yes, they so seem to work better than I thought they would.These gloves are rated for cut resistance as ANSI A7 (out of a scale of 9) which is in the middle of the high ratings range and means they are good for manufacturing, glass handling, and metal fabrication. My pair of scissors couldn't make a mark on them or really puncture them either. They didn't specify any rating for abrasion or puncture resistance but obviously provide some protection there as well.Overall a nice set of medium weight, cut resistant work gloves!

I have other gloves from Schwer - the orange colored ones that are said to be specifically designed for gardening and really like those, so when I saw these were available, I decided to give them a go.The gardening gloves have rubber nodules on the palm and fingers to provide grip, while these are fully coated throughout the palm and finger area. the fit is tight (which I like), which provides protection while still allowing a tactile feel that will allow you to be pretty dexterous in picking up things etc. They also go semi high on the wrist and the elastic is tight enough that they will not be slipping down.Mainly going to be using these for general DIY tasks. Some minor house rehab, moving stones, and even gardening and these gloves are working as described.Got the 3 pack in large and they fit me (6' 1" and 200#).One thing I noticed is that when working outside in the summer, your hands will sweat alot in these. I suppose it is a tradeoff with having the protection on the front side of the gloves. However, it does make them a bit difficult to put on again if the gloves are wet with sweat.I would recommend these. I have had really good luck with my previous pairs Schwer gloves and assume that these are manufactured with the same quality.

These gloves come in a 6-pack for $43.99, which works out to a little over $7 per pair. That price feels somewhat high to me, although the overall quality is good.The gloves appear to be made from durable materials, and the textured palm provides extra grip and protection against accidental cuts, splinters, and similar hazards. The touchscreen functionality works well, which is a nice convenience when using a phone or tablet without removing the gloves.I performed a few basic tests with a sharp blade and a box cutter. The gloves did a good job protecting against light accidental contact, such as when a knife slips while cutting material. I was able to see that the cut-resistant material helped prevent minor cuts in those situations. However, I did not test them with heavy force, and I would not expect them to provide complete protection against deliberate or high-pressure cuts. As with any cut-resistant glove, proper caution is still important.My biggest issue was the sizing. I ordered a Medium, and while the gloves fit, they felt tighter than expected and were not as comfortable as I had hoped. In my experience, they seem to run a little small. If you normally wear a Medium, you may want to consider sizing up to a Large. A size between Medium and Large would probably have been ideal for me.Overall, these are good quality work gloves that offer useful cut resistance, solid grip, and reliable touchscreen performance. I would recommend them, especially for woodworking, cargo handling, and general shop work. The only reasons I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 are the snug sizing and the price, which is a bit difficult to justify when there are less expensive alternatives that may provide similar protection for some tasks.

Cut-resistant work gloves are always a balancing act. Make them loose enough to maximize comfort and you give up dexterity. Make them too snug and every fingertip reminds you that you're wearing armor instead of ordinary work gloves. These SCHWER A7 gloves come surprisingly close to finding that balance, although sizing deserves a brief discussion.We've used several different SCHWER glove models over the past year in both Medium and Large. One thing we've noticed is that sizing isn't perfectly consistent across the various glove families. Some Large models feel just slightly roomy with a bit of extra finger length, while some Mediums fit snugly enough that your fingertips contact the ends of the glove. This particular Medium falls into the latter category. The fit is perfectly usable and secure, but if you're normally between sizes, you may find yourself facing the Goldilocks problem: one size is just a little too big, the other just a little too small. For this specific model, we'd probably choose the Large next time simply for a touch more breathing room.Construction quality is excellent. The gloves appear well made, the stitching is clean, and the reinforced thumb is a thoughtful addition because that is one of the first places work gloves often begin to wear. The polyurethane-coated palm provides a secure grip without becoming excessively bulky, and despite the ANSI A7 cut rating, these still preserve enough dexterity for ordinary shop work, woodworking, moving sheet goods, handling sharp hardware, and general fabrication tasks.The touchscreen capability also works as advertised. We have no idea whether that occurred during manufacturing, packaging, or shipping. After drying, the gloves appeared completely normal with no visible defects or lingering issues, so this did not affect our evaluation.As with any cut-resistant glove, these should be viewed as another layer of protection rather than invincibility. They are designed to reduce the consequences of accidental contact with sharp edges, not encourage riskier behavior. Matched to the appropriate tasks, they inspire confidence and appear capable of providing a long service life.Overall, these are another solid offering from SCHWER. The materials, construction quality, grip, touchscreen compatibility, and high cut resistance make them excellent general-purpose shop gloves. Well, between the wife in her garden, and me in the garage, or doing work around the house, we go through a lot of gloves. Canvas gloves are good, but the more protective the gloves are, the better. So, I ordered these SCHWER work gloves.These gloves are kind of a hybrid type of gloves. They have elastic around the wrist section, to keep them on securely. In the grip section, is a non-slip coating of a cut resistant material (hope I never really have to verify that). There appears to be a mesh running through the grip side of the glove. The description claims that it is metal wire. Though thin wire, it probably gives a bit of protection from accidental cuts; punctures, probably not so much.I ordered the large size, and they fit the wife pretty good. A little loose, play, but she says they will work. On the other hand (get it), they are a bit tight for me. I believe the X Large would fit me just fine. So needless to say, she will be getting these, no problem. And they run a little small.These gloves are advertised as A7 level protective gloves. Which indicate that they are essentially for heavy-duty types of work involving industrial glass, sharp stamped metal sheets, and meat (I guess that means the cutting of meat). So, they should be more than enough to protect the Wifey’s little hand.Overall, a good set of protective gloves. Worth the money, I’d say a little on the high price side for 6 pairs. I have not tested the actual cut resistance, so I could only recommend these as general work gloves.
