This is my third Volisun ceiling fan light - I really like them! They're priced great and they’ve helped bring some much needed airflow to the bedrooms in my home. They are easily installed in place of a standard ceiling light - if you can install a light, you can install this fan. The necessary hardware is included. They’re low profile, so they are great in my house with 8 foot ceilings. The LEDs are nice and bright and you can adjust the color temperature and brightness of the light with the remote. The small fan blades move quick even in the lowest speed. They’re not loud at all - the fan blades make a gentle white noise. Each one I bought is a different style and size - two white and one black. I think they all look great, but I like the clear fan blades on the white ones a little more. I’m out of rooms to put these in, but I’d buy again!

Edit: the manufacturer reached out to me and sent me a replacement part and my fan is now working perfectly again. So, a well responsive manufacturer is worth a lot in my opinion. Back to 5 stars. At first I really liked this light with the built in fan. Installation was not too difficult and the light was good. I like the remote and the ability the control the brightness and tone of the light. However, in less than a month the entire unit completely stopped working. So now I'm hanging another lamp from the useless ceiling lamp to have some light! I've contacted the manufacturer but no response so far.

This fan and light are very nice and pretty easy to install. The man who does this stuff here had little to know swearing during installation, and while he mocked my choice of light and fan, he did say it was a good choice and didn’t look “too dumb”. The fan has a slightly more modern look than most of our home (modern farm house) but is a good look and is really flush to the ceiling. I personally enjoy the app for adjusting lights and speed of the fan.

This review will have two parts, the fan/light and the control methods. The fan is great. I bought the 13" model. Set up is easy, just need to connect a power cord to the fan if you are not installing it in a hard wired solution. The air flow is great, it is July here in the Midwest USA and the fan blows enough air even on the hottest days to keep me cool on a medium setting. The light is very strong, I keep it on the dimmer side which is enough light to do any of my work. Over all for just the fan I would recommend. Now, for the rest of the story. The remotes are very powerful. I can go to the other end of my apartment, put several doors and walls between the remote and the fan and still operate it without a problem. The problem comes in when I tried to integrate it into my smart home set up. The app that you download from the manufacture keeps getting flagged as unsafe by my phone, was able to download it from the play store and connect it to my fan. but the app does not have you set up any account, and Alexa will not connect to the app because 1. it is not recognized in Alexa (there is a skill for HF Smart which is what the app is named, but this is an entirely different company and no connection to this app.) 2. it does not allow you to set up an account, it is a local only to your phone app so Alexa will not connect to it. I have tried several different apps to connect the fan to, however none of them work. also the fan is controlled via Bluetooth, so you can't even buy a ir/rf blaster and connect it that way!so in recap: Fan itself 10/10, ease in setting up the fan with anything other than remote or some plain Jane unsecure app: 0/10

For its size, this fan puts out a surprising amount of airflow—actually better than our previous full-size fan. It's perfect for our 7-foot ceilings. Love the light setting options, the nightlight setting is perefct for watching movies or reading in the evening. Installation was straightforward and easy, making the whole process hassle-free. Remote is simple to use. We are very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a compact fan that moves a lot of air.

I love this fan! I put it in my closet because I have a lot of designer shoes and I felt like it was a little warm in there. It has a remote so I keep the fan constantly going and then when I need the light I can just put the light on and it’s different levels of brightness which is great. It’s super quiet. I don’t hear it at all when I’m in my room, it is really one of the best things I’ve bought in a long time. I went through a lot of reviews deciding fan to purchase and I am so glad I got this one. This is a perfect fan. Super happy with the quality and it look great too!

So good we bought another! We really like the clean look of this light/fan in our kitchen. So much better than the old 1990's ceiling fan that replaced! It sits closer to the ceiling and isn't as obtrusive. My husband really appreciated the easy installation. He especially liked that it came with a hook told hold the fixture, freeing up both his hands to attach the wires. (And I didn't have to stand there and hold it.)We ordered one for the kitchen, and then decided to do the same thing in our home office, so replaced the old ceiling fan there with one of these also. (Kitchen in black, office in white)My only comment is that the fan air movement is a little more direct than with a really big ceiling fan. But still does the job and circulates air around the room. Just you feel it more when standing directly under it. This isn't a complaint, just something that is slightly different than a large ceiling fan.One nice thing is the remote control which has a bunch of settings - like six different fan speeds and dimmable lighting. So when I'm in the kitchen I have it on bright so I can see what I'm doing. When I finish up I put it on dim, if someone wants to get a drink of water or something, there enough light to do so without turning a light on/off.One other thing - it is super easy to remove the blade assembly, wash it in the sink, the put it back on. 👍 WAAAYY easier than getting on a stepstool and trying to clean big ceiling fan blades.Very happy with this purchase.

It's a technical review.Overall it is not a bad fan, better than ugly big ones, especially for small rooms. Low profile and 2000 Lm - probably the best you can get on the market for this size. However, do not expect office/shop luminance, in our small home office space of 12'x12'x9' it gives only 170 lx, which aligns with calculations. There is only one line wire, so you cannot control a fan and a light with 2 wall switches. When the power is on, it automatically turns on the light. Everything else is controlled by the remote. Here goes the fun part now. The remote is actually a BLE advertiser. I disassembled it as a part of discovery, it has an unknown chip marked HF1631. But it makes sense as they use a phone app to control it as well. The app is total crap - at least for Android, it must be downloaded as an apk file from whatever website, it weighs 65 Mb, and asks you to give the permissions for location and files. Why? It's just the same BLE advertiser. I installed it on a spare old Android 6 phone and uninstalled once the protocol was identified. So I aimed to include it as a part of home automation. It's possible but with some hassle. I spent 2 evenings figuring out how to do it, so it may help others perhaps. There is an external component for ESPHome on github, NicoIIT, esphome-components (no, I am not the owner of the repo, just appreciate the work done), it can control a bunch of Ch ceiling fans, including this one. Whatever is on the remote, can be controlled - the lights (brightness, color temperature), and fan (speed, direction, time). So for this particular fan with the remote in the description (the black one, with the 'setup' button on the right side above the control 'wheel'), you must choose 'zhimei-v0' protocol. Pair the ESPHome device right after powering on the ceiling fan (turning the wall switch on). The good point - after the pairing you can control with both the remote and the ESPHome device.Cannot tell anything about the durability - using it for a week only.
