These lights are great. Looks good. A little tough to mount but just takes a little time. Very well packaged.

Good light, difficult to install dimmer

[Size: 40W 1PACK]
Overall great product so far. The instructions for wiring up the dimmer option are very vague and to do it you have to basically disassemble the light, so you need to have some electrical knowledge to figure it out. Also note that you must use a 0-10v dimmer switch, not your typical cheaper dimmer switches you find at the hardware store

Commercial quality!

[Size: 40W 1PACK]
I am blown away by this heavy duty aluminum commercial quality 40W LED canopy light by G GJIA. It is amazingly bright for only 40 watts. The quality of the construction is top of the line. I really like the square design as compared to the typical UFO, round style. I think it looks more modern and aestetically pleasing to match the shape of a room, rather than round. The 5000K color temperature is perfect for my application, and I like the ability to surface mount rather than hanging from a beam. At it's current pricepoint of only $40, it is an incredible bargain with all of these attributes - and it has a 5 year warranty to boot!Review for: G GJIA 40W LED Canopy Light, 6000LM LED Canopy Lights Outdoor, IP65 Waterproof Canopy Light for Gas Station Industrial Lighting Garage Barn Shop Carport Warehouse Building Entrance UL Listed, 1 Pack 2405-033

Economy canopy

[Size: 40W 1PACK]
Diecast aluminum powder coated housing with injection molded clear plastic lens. The clear lens doesn't do much to reduce glare…thus is pretty much a glare bomb. Probably better if mounted 15-20’ from the floor out of the line of sight. Designed with an installation aid of a stamped metal bracket that is first secured to the outlet box. Their design includes a small hook so the LED light can be temporarily suspended to facilitate wiring. Once wired, the housing clips to the J-box bracket on one side and one screw secures the housing on the opposite side. This works ok, but it was somewhat difficult to line the J-box bracket tab so the last screw could be installed.

Good Dimmable Canopy Lights

[Size: 40W 1PACK]
I wanted new lighting for my workshop which has 12 foot high ceilings and is lit by flourescents. Most high bay lights were overkill for my situation so I was looking for different options. It seemed that canopy lights would fit my needs.I was to find however that canopy lights are generally not easy to install conventionally (and in accordance with electrical wiring code) because of the way the wiring exits the fixture. Canopy wiring comes out the back of the light and is waterproofed, so the wires aren't made to be pulled back into the light fixture. The easiest installation would be where you could mount the light and then make the electrical connections after. But electrical code dictates that connections be made inside an enclosure and that's difficult if you're mounting the canopy light to an enclosed ceiling light box because the connections need to be made inside the box before the light is fully mounted. The challenge is routing the wiring and connections to the electrical supply through the 1 inch cutout on the mounting plate. Canopy lights include a suspension loop you can hang the light from when connecting the wires. But then you have to push the excess wire back through the mounting plate hole as you tilt the fixture up to mount it trying not to pinch the wires between the back of the light and the mounting plate. So overall mounting canopy lights onto ceiling electrical boxes if far from ideal although it can be done. Of course there are alternative mounting methods that can be used. This canopy light is rated at 40 watts, and my Kill A Watt meter showed it drawing 36 watts.Their ad claims these lights include high efficiency LEDs, rated at 150 lumens per watt and at the rated 40 watts that's 6000 lumens. However at the 36 watts I showed the light drawing, at 150 lumens per watt the light output is only 5400 lumens. This light is also dimmable which some might find useful. It's pretty bright regardless giving off a cool white light. At about 8 foot spacing on the 12 foot high ceiling these lights give nice illumination to my workspace.

Perfect replacement for 4-8' fluorescent fixtures

[Size: 40W 1PACK]
UPDATE: I have tried several versions of this brand of lights and have been pleased with the performance of them.I really like these lights. They are attractive and install easily as replacements for other fixtures. I have a food preparation area what i aproximately 150 sq ft that had four 4" dual bulb moisture proof luorescent strips, replaced with LED conversion kits--which did not last but a couple of years before starting some very annoying flickering. It was simple to remove the old strips and replace with these canopy fixtures. I only had caulk two small screw holes each which is not even noticeable in the textured fiberglass ceiling. There is about a three second delay from turning on to lighting. One thing I really liked was that the 40w and 60w fixtures are identical in appearance, allowing me to put some extra light where needed while maintaining a professional looking installation with 3 identical fixtures.I am converting all of my business and farm lighting to LED, and I have decided for my use the canopy fixtures are my favorite for flat ceilings. For vaulted ceilings in barns and shops I am using more of the bay fixtures which allow me to drop the fixtures to an appropriate height. These are "daylight" bright--perfect for work areas--but would likely be too white for home use.Inexpensive but Quality construction with a heavy metal body, good paint, and nice thick acrylic diffuser that looks nice..Update: I've been using these for about 8 weeks and have no complaints.

What a difference in brightnessWhat a difference in brightness

[Size: 40W 1PACK, Size: 40W 1PACK]
I have realized that as I have grown older, I need more light, and this light helps achieve that.- It is suitable for outdoor use, but I use all weatherproof lights in my garage to keep moisture and bugs out.- Well-made aluminum housing with numerous mounting options.- I liked the thought-out mounting bracket that kept the light suspended as you made your electrical connections.- They even soldered the leads to make connections with solid copper more reliable. I still prefer to use my lever nuts for stranded to solid wire connections.- They claim the lens is non-yellowing, and I hope that proves true. Only time will tell.- May be dimmed (dimmer not included)I wouldn't recommend interior use unless you have high garage ceilings. Mine are 12', and it allows the light to spread properly.
