We bought new lamps with dimmable night lights in the base. They included the bulbs for top and bottom. The night lights were 8 watts but even on the lowest setting they were too bright and harsh. We bought some dimmable 2w and these 4w to try. Of the two these were the dimmest and most pleasant. Even dimmer than the 2w bulbs we bought!

Look no further. If you have a bankers lamp or the like, this is the PERFECT lightbulb for you. Do your research when it comes to whether you want the 4w vs. 6w and 2700 or the 2200. I purchased the 4w 2200 and got the perfect amber glow for a very romantic desk lamp. Writing with my fountain pen into the late hours of the night is a revolutionized experience with this light bulb.

Arrived quickly,beyond expertly packed,and much better than described.Not only were these bulbs designed to be energy efficient,but they look great as well.Measuring 4" inches in length,these elongated bulbs will beautifully adorn whatever fixture they're placed in.Unlike energy efficient bulbs of the past this turn on with no delay or humming sound.Their amber tinting makes them much easier on the eyes than earlier clear bulb models.Their illumination is bright,without being brash,and much brighter than traditional 40 watt incandescents.They produce a pleasant glow that will warm up any room their displayed in,creating a subtle relaxing atmosphere,for the inhabitants.Manufactured with an E26 base,enables them to fit most standard sockets seamlessly.Concurrently they're dimmable,to suit everyone's individual needs.As advertised,these bulbs are said to produce the illumination of a 40 watt incandescent bulbs while only using 4 watts,which makes them incredibly energy efficient and a cost effective purchase.However I'd say that they're even brighter.Also they're constructed of glass,unlike competing brands who use plastic,which in my opinion negates their eco friendly status.In conclusion these bulbs are an energy efficient,eco friendly way to lower electric bills and reduce carbon footprint,being sold at a reasonable price.Without one ounce of hesitation,they have earned my full recommendation.

These 4 watt spiral LEDs from Owilukie look nice and are well made. Unfortunately I put them in fixtures with other 2200K LEDs, and the color temperature really looked out of place. They were way too white to be 2200K.So I did a one-on-one comparison with my other other 2200K bulb and compared them side by side. (See attached photo).As is quite apparent, the Owilukie looks more like 3000K, not 2200K.
