Works better than the seals that came on the doors. I noticed light coming in. I removed the stripping and installed this one in. Seal is great, no more light coming in. Hopefully this will lower my power bill.

Easy to install. Super thick, worked perfectly for my application. I used this to replace the sealing around a door leading to an unconditioned space in my house, aiming for an airtight seal. The existing seal was in good shape, it was just too thin in a few spots (could see light through it). This new seal was much bulkier and compressed well enough that the door still closes fine but very, very tightly as I wanted.

This Generic Extra Thick Weather Stripping Door Seal, Black Kerf has some good and bad points.It seems to be decent quality.It seems so far to be sturdy, durable, and functional.This is not as easy to use nor easy to assemble as I'd hoped for though. It's not as versatile, although a decent size, because I had difficulty closing my door with it. I do wish also that there had been an option in white, which could have matched my original door. So for my home it's not the most attractive option, and doesn't fit well, but could if you have enough gap.It seems to be an ok value for the price.I would shop around first, and compare thicknesses, colors, and prices, to ensure it will work best with your door. It's a big pain once installed, if it doesn't work, and then to have to remove and replace immediately.

We adopted a couple outdoor cats. Gave them a house and a warm place to sleep. One has the idea it always wants our attention, so it scratches at the weather stripping on the main door to the house. It totally destroyed it. We had already put alien tape weather stripping on the inside of the door, but I needed something to replace the damage the car had done.. I could see light a bit around the door, as the original weatherstripping wasnt quite doing the job(even before the cats).This worked well. It was wider than the weather stripping I was replacing. The door actually slides deeper into this. It doesn't show the light we saw from the oem stripping ..The door doesn't quite shut as easily but it's to be expected since it's a tighter squeeze. I put some plastic alien tape weather stripping over this to help persuade the cat from scratching. So far so good

My door has a wide gap between the front and the frame and I honestly should have went with this to begin with. I tried a few other things that just didn't work. I live in an area that gets incredibly cold and has high winds in the winter. It was super easy to install and easy to cut to length. The shape of the the foam part creates a superb seal. Now I have to push/pull my door a bit to get it to close all the way.The material is very flexible making it easy to work with, however it also seems pretty durable so i am confident in it's ability to keep rain and snow out as well. The best part is that I was able to go around the whole door and have plenty of extra if I need it. I HIGHLY recommend this for those that have a wider gap.
