Good stainless steel cable

[Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT]
This is a good deal on black cable and even comes with a basic set of cable cutters. The cable cutters are more than good enough to cut through this cable and even higher gauge cable if needed. It comes spooled up and ready to go. The cable is smooth and definitely strong. Now this is just the cable and cutters you will still need your ends and grommets to finish the job and look but the quality cable you get and that they included some cutters makes this a good deal.

Strong Cable with a Clean Modern Look

[Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT]
I used this stainless steel cable for a DIY project and liked the sleek black finish, which gives it a more modern appearance compared to traditional silver cable. The 120-foot length provided plenty of material for my needs, and the included cutter made it easier to customize the lengths during installation. The cable feels strong and durable, and the 1/8-inch size strikes a good balance between strength and flexibility. I appreciate that it’s designed for outdoor use since weather resistance is important for railing and exterior projects. The only thing to keep in mind is that proper hardware and installation technique are important to get the best results from any cable railing system. Overall, this seems like a quality option for someone looking to create a clean, low-maintenance railing or tensioning setup.

Excellent Quality Stainless Steel Cabl

[Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT]
I acquired the PLANTOP 1/8" Black Stainless Steel Cable for my deck cable railing kit and am extremely impressed with the results. The cable feels strong and durable, with a sleek black finish that adds a modern touch to my outdoor space. Installation was straightforward and the cable was easy to cut and work with. The quality is outstanding—there’s no fraying, and it holds tension very well. It looks fantastic and gives my deck a clean, professional appearance. Even after exposure to the elements, the cable remains rust-free and maintains its color.Overall, I give this product five stars. It exceeded my expectations in both appearance and performance. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their deck with a reliable and stylish cable railing solution.

Strong, Attractive Cable With a Useful CutterStrong, Attractive Cable With a Useful Cutter

[Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT, Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT]
I ordered this 120-foot roll of black stainless steel cable for a cable railing project where I wanted the wire to blend naturally with black posts and hardware. The dark finish gives it a cleaner, more modern appearance than ordinary bright stainless cable, especially against darker railings, decks, stairs, and balconies. The 1/8-inch cable feels strong and substantial without being excessively stiff. Its 7-by-7 strand construction provides a useful balance of strength and flexibility for feeding through railing posts and installing tensioning hardware. The cable is made from T316 marine-grade stainless steel and has a stated breaking strength of 1,850 pounds. The black surface looks smooth and evenly coated, and I did not notice rough burrs along the main length of the cable.Including a dedicated wire-rope cutter makes this a much more complete package. The cutter feels solid, has comfortable red-covered handles, and is shaped specifically for cutting cable rather than crushing it with ordinary pliers. The individual strands can still begin separating at a freshly exposed end, as can happen with braided wire rope, so I recommend wrapping the cutting point tightly with tape and installing the fitting soon after making each cut.Overall, this is a strong and attractive black cable for deck railings, stair railings, balconies, architectural projects, landscape tensioning, and discreet lighting or sound-system rigging. The 120-foot length, corrosion-resistant T316 construction, modern black finish, and included cutter make the price excellent for the market. I deducted one star because the raw end can begin to spread if it is not secured, but the cable itself appears well made and should work with most standard 1/8-inch cable-railing hardware.

Easy-to-Work-With CableEasy-to-Work-With Cable

[Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT, Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT]
This 1/8-inch stainless steel cable is a solid choice for deck and cable railing installations. The T316 stainless steel construction feels durable and is well suited for outdoor use, with good resistance to corrosion. The cable feeds smoothly through railing posts, and the included cutter is a helpful addition for making clean cuts during installation. The 7x7 strand construction provides a good balance of strength and flexibility, making it easy to tension while still maintaining a clean, professional appearance. It performs well overall, though the included cutter is adequate rather than exceptional. Overall, this cable works as expected, looks great once installed, and offers good value for DIY or professional cable railing projects.

Pretty standard seven-strand swage wire

[Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT]
Perfectly acceptable normal swage wire for railings, I needed another 50 ft or so to finish my railing and it matches the other stuff that I picked up from other manufacturers close enough that you can't really tell. So far holds tension well enough, cuts well enough, but I would definitely say not to pre-cut the pieces before you're ready to actually put the fittings on because like all of the swage wire that I've ever used It can start to unwind itself from a raw end.

Incredibly well made cable. Does not unravel. Does not have bent spots. No burrs

[Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT]
I opted for the matching cable for my set. My posts are a combination of three different brands. I have just been slowly expanding my wraparound deck each year. This spring I made a major extension on it. However the first brand I bought, was out of stock. So I ended up going with a second brand. Which turned out to be a lower quality finish. I wrapped it up with this brand for my third installment. This brand has impressed me the most for the price point and quality comparisons. It's heavy duty. Everything is well designed. I like all of the easy labeling to determine the sets that can all be intermixed together without any modification. This cable fits their cable railing systems, as well as many others. It's definitely not exclusive sizing to them. However I find this brand to be one of the most modular and have the largest range of adaptable system. So going forward I will be sticking with this setup. So I wanted to swap out my older cables to these so that all of the cables throughout my three-part system are identical. The thickness of this is great. It's well woven. No issues with any rough spots. This should stand the test of time even in outdoor conditions.

Very good cable for your DIY projectVery good cable for your DIY project

[Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT, Size: 1/8", Style: 120FT]
I used this for my first ever cable railing project. I had purchased a kit that used 1/10 cable - but good luck finding that. I therefore supplemented using this Plantop 1/8 cable. It is hard to tell the difference, but I feel more secure with the thicker cable. The Plantop cable is on the bottom six rows of my installation (see picture). The cable was easy to cut with the included tool. I was pleased that it did not fray at the end after cutting so it was easy to thread through the holes in the post and the connectors. It is nicely finished in black and should hold up well over time. It fits in a standard swagless connector without any issues. It is a little pricier than other options out there - so you might want to shop around. That being said, it is quality cable that is easy to install and you would not making a mistake choosing this option.
