This is a very nicely made 6x6 STAINLESS STEEL (!) aesthetic post mount kit. I tested the main bracket pieces with a magnet and they were totally non-magnetic, which lines up with the stainless construction. The black finish over the stainless is excellent, with no obvious defects or weak spots that look like they would rust quickly.The bracket material is 2 mm thick, nicely radiused, and feels at least as sturdy as the better post-base hardware I have seen at big box stores. I especially like that it elevates the post roughly 3/4 inch off the mounting surface. That is a smart design detail for keeping the bottom of the post out of standing water.The included hardware also looks very nice. The large decorative washer/standoff pieces are heavier than expected and appear to be steel or stainless rather than aluminum, which is a little unusual but not a complaint.The only thing I would change is that I would love to see the main bracket made from heavier gauge material for more lateral support. That said, this style of kit is mainly for holding a post down and keeping it elevated, not for acting as a full structural moment base. For that intended use, this is better built and better finished than most kits in this category.Overall this kid is beautifully made with premium St Louis material and a premium finish and a hammered glossy look. Most importantly this will keep your posts out of the ground/water contact and this kit will look good for decades.

The post base is designed to hide the fasteners but still keep the post off of the concrete base. The metal is strong and the finish is clean and smooth. The instructions are easy to understand and complete. It comes with all the connection hardware you need. This is a 2 pack and a good deal for the quality of the products. I am happy with the order.
