I ordered this blade to repair some deteriorating mortar joint areas in a brick stairway. The blade was used in an angle grinder and performed very well in raking out the old mortar. While the total amount of mortar taken out was only about 5 or 6 linear feet, the blade did not show any appreciable wear. The width of the blade is a real plus making quick work in removing the old mortar. However, there were a couple of areas where the mortar joint was slightly less than 1/4" and the blade couldn't be used there. As for value, this appears to be reasonably priced and worth the price just in time savings.Overall, I was pleased with the performance and found this to be a real time saver compared to using a thinner blade.

This blade fit my Ridged side grinder without problem. There are flats ground into the outside of center mounting shaft so that a wrench can be used for tightening and loosening. The nice wide/thick cut takes time off my repointing job. I usually use a thinner blade which I need to sweep back and forth in the joint. I still need to do that a little with this but not nearly as much. Because you are cutting a wider swath at one time getting to depth takes slightly longer and there is a lot more material thrown up but no matter the blade, grinding out joints is a dirty job. I have not used it enough yet to determine how long it will cut well before it begins to dull but being diamond edged it should last pretty long. So far, it seems like a nice blade to have in my collection. The price is reasonable.

This blade is excellent! You will not be disappointed! It did an amazing job and with only one of these durable blades you can rake out 100 square foot wall. Get 2 if doing 200. It feels very sturdy and solid and the brass metal piece easily comes out if needed!

I've used this to repair some brick steps. It makes cutting out the old mortar fairly quick and straightforward. The blade cuts well it's fairly thick so minimizes the number of passes you need to groove out the old mortar and make room for the new. Seems to have decent durability and functionality. Overall it works well, and seems to be a good value.
