These retractable ratcheting straps are incredibly handy and work really well. They’re easy to manage, and more importantly, they’re so much easier to store than traditional ratchet straps since you don’t end up fighting with a tangled mess of webbing.They look and feel heavy duty, and the hardware seems solid and well made. That said, I’m not sure I would personally trust a retractable design with something extremely heavy or high-risk, even with the listed weight ratings. For everyday hauling and securing gear, though, they feel very capable.I also really appreciate the carrying bag. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference when you want to keep the straps, loops, and accessories together in a vehicle or garage. I did have a little trouble with the red release tab at first, but after a few uses I was acclimated and had no issues.Overall, these are well made, convenient, and much less aggravating to use than standard straps. Great buy.

These retractable 2-inch x 10-foot ratchet straps are the kind of thing you should always have a pair of. The 4400 lb break strength is plenty for normal tying down, and the retractable design keeps the straps from turning into a tangled mess in the truck or garage. Super easy to use and light weight. Ratchets feel solid and they lock down tight. I reach for them more than old-style loose straps. A two-pack at this rating is better value than buying single cheap straps that slip or wear out after a few uses.

I gave these straps 4 stars after using them to tie down cargo. I hooked the deep curved S hooks onto the anchor points and pulled out the webbing. The hooks stayed seated as I tightened the load. The 2 inch double stitched polyester webbing felt thick in my hands.The ratchet let me add tension gradually without much fuss. I did need extra room near the tie down point because of the retractable housing. It takes up more space than a basic loose strap. When I unloaded, pressing the bright red button pulled the loose webbing back into the housing instead of leaving it hanging from the load.

Once you've used retractable ratchet straps, it's hard to go back to dealing with a pile of tangled traditional straps. Being able to pull out exactly as much strap as you need and then have the excess retract back into the housing makes these so much easier to use and store.The 2-inch straps feel substantial, and I like the safety-lock hooks for keeping everything secure while tying something down. The one-hand release is also really convenient when it's time to unload. These are especially handy to keep in a truck or trailer where you don't want loose straps constantly getting tangled together. Great design and much more convenient than traditional ratchet straps.

I haven't owned a set of ratchet straps in a long time, but after I recently started getting into hauling lumber for projects, I was really looking for a set of ratchet straps. I somehow lost one of my two original long straps, but I'm honestly glad that I have ratchet straps now because I like these a lot more.The 10-foot length is definitely not as long as I thought it would be. It's easy to think it sounds like plenty, but once you actually start putting it into practice, you realize how limited 10 feet is. For my purposes, though, which is just tying down and hauling lumber, it works perfectly fine.They're a bit heavier than I thought they'd be. The webbing and stitching look good on the strap which is one of the first things I looked for. The ratcheting mechanism clicks into several different positions rather than just one, which is really nice. You simply pull the strap out and it automatically locks itself repeatedly, then push the red release lever when you want it to retract. Very simple to use. I did have to watch a few videos on proper tie-down techniques for my own use, but so far I haven't really had any issues. They retract smoothly, I haven't experienced any binding or slipping, and the spring inside seems fairly strong.I think the convenience alone might be the biggest advantage. The last set of straps I had were standard loose ratchet straps, and they would leave excess webbing hanging everywhere. These, by comparison, are much neater and more convenient to use. I'll give them a thumbs up for that alone.

Ordered this (2) Pack of Retractable Ratchet Straps - 2" X 10 ft - Heavy Duty Rated 4,400 LB BS - W/Auto Retract Release Buttons - Double Stitched - Rust Proof Finish - for use in my work. I dig trenches for water, electric, drainage problems, and fiber optic trenches almost on a daily basis. I'm always loading/unloading my 1,600 LB trenching machine to do any job. I've always used straps, chains, and even ropes, but most of them ends up being a total pain as they get tied up in knots, twisted, and then when using chains they always rust bad and hard to use and such a pain. Recently while shopping online for some more straps and new ones as my old ones ended up deteriorating from sun, weather, and lots of use. I was searching for some "strong straps" and a couple good ones that would hopefully last me. I looked at many sizes, material, strengths, styles, widths, and prices. Then just happened to see these different style of ratchet straps that are designed with a "built in retractable housing" and are made to "auto retract" with just the touch of one button and comes in a heavy grade 2" wide x 10ft long and double stitched material strapping and that really caught my attention and started reading about them. After reading that they come with the large "S" hooks with safety locks, and coated with a heavy rust proof material and that they automatically retract when pushing the red button, and has a working load of almost 1,500 LBS, along with a decent price, I placed my order for the (2) pack. What a great find for me. Finally, a well made and very well designed strapping system. Now wished I could of had these long before now. Love the way they operate as these are much easier to use than any I've ever owned. Now when hooking up my machine, I just hook one end to the D-ring hook on trailer and over through the machine to the other side D-ring and easily ratchet it up tightly as needed and it's a done deal. Front hook up the same way. The nice part of owning these are the unhooking part. I can just "press the red button" and these babies quickly retracts right back and up inside it's own housing, and away from all the rain and bad weather. A spring loaded design return. These made life for me much easier on a "daily basis" as they are not only quick to use, but the way their designed, they "never" get twisted up or in a knot. They also rarely get dirty as the housing protects them. These are a premium grade strap, much better than any I've owned before. They also came with a nice strong material storage bag and I keep them right inside door, and under my back seat in truck to use at any given moment. The strong 4,400 LB breaking strength gives me peace of mind while hauling my machine to and from a jobsite and on the state highways. They also came with (2) soft straps to use if needed, but I rarely use these, but are handy just in case for other uses. These easily earn a (5) star rating in my opinion

An average score for an imperfect product.The retractable strap is the current novelty for tying things down but you won't see professionals using these because they tend to have a few flaws.A secure load is the best load and pros use ratchet straps that keep those loads from moving. They bring the strap to the load, add some length and then bring it back onto the drum so the load cannot get loose on any given strap.I used it for a demo purpose holding a hitch in place in my truck. The strap was stretched across the bed at 65 inches, slightly more than half of the working length of strap. I ran the ratchet to tighten it and could not get it to tighten fully nor did it ratchet well. It felt "crunchy" and rough in use.I understand the strapping is new and may have some stretch to give but I couldn't get it tight. A proper tie down strap requires a minimum 3:1 working load limit with each strap equaling the weight of the item being held in place. The subject straps could hold a claimed 1467 pounds max. If it were a SxS needing four straps, each would need to cover that 1467 pound weight. If it were a 5800 pound truck, you can't use these at all four corners, they are too light duty for that task.My concern is that these are rough to ratchet and don't get tight enough combined with an unknown number of wraps on the drum. Bottom line, you can't make a safe load without knowing what your straps are doing and if they're doing it well or not.Each hook has to support the 1467 pounds claimed. These are not car tie-down hooks, these are motorcycle, quad or maybe SxS hooks.I did not see any stretch indicators nor wear indicators indicating when they should be replaced.This may be good for strapping down a load of lumber or some motorcycles but your gross load weight can't exceed 1467 pounds.Be careful out there.
