We have been using battery-powered LED lights for our carved pumpkins for several years now. Last year, some torrential rains left the lights we had submerged in water inside the pumpkin, and they did not survive. So I picked up this set to replace them.First thing I like about them is that they use relatively cheap and easy-to-find AA batteries instead of more expensive button batteries. They say the battery life is 360 hours, and if so, that should be more than enough for keeping my Jack-o’-lanterns lit for the entire Halloween season. Second thing I like is the timer mode, where you can set the light to go on for a set number of hours (2, 4, 6, or 8) and then be off for the remainder of the hours in a day so it will come on and shut off at the same time daily without having to go outside and shut them off. The remote, although I probably won’t use it much, is also nice because it means not going outside and manually turning off the lights when I want to. Can do it right from inside the house. Featuring either flicker mode or steady glow and being able to control the brightness are also pluses. I like flicker for most of mine to look more like a candle, but for some carved pumpkins or plastic decorative ones, a steady glow can look nicer.Overall, if the battery life lives up to the claim, these lights will be a really good value and will probably last me several Halloween seasons if I don’t find my pumpkins under several inches of water again.

Best idea ever! I wish I had got these years ago when I was still using candles or even the small tea lights that I would turn on and then leave on until they died because what a pain to turn them off every night!! Well wow, now there are battery operated pumpkin lights that come with a remote!! Such a convenience!! I’m excited to use them this season! The lights are LED so they are super bright but if you don’t like that you can dim the lights down or have them flicker! Also a great feature is that it has a timer option to have the lights turn off after 2/4/6 or 8 hours! This is a total game changer for me and having a remote is a huge convenient bonus to the pumpkin lighting game. I am looking forward to using these lights!

I ordered this two pack of LED lights to use in two lamps that I have hanging in my backyard. I believe they are intended to use in a Jack-o-lantern but I will find many uses for these. The lights come with a remote control, which is great so I don’t have to unscrew my lamps every time I want to turn the light on. Each light requires two AA batteries and the remote requires two AAA batteries. The six batteries needed are not included. What’s really cool about these lights is that they flicker like a real candle does . It’s quite realistic.The lights are larger than a normal tea light candle. They measured 2.6 inches in depth by 2.6 inches in width by 1.5 inches high. They glow in an orange color which will be fun for the holiday. They are made of plastic, but have no flame, no smoke and no odor so they are completely safe for kids and pets. The remote will function up to 20 feet from the lights. There is a timer you can set for two, four, six or up to eight hours at a time. You can also set your flame to either flicker or do a steady glow as well as changing your brightness level. I’m really hoping this company comes out with some Christmas colors.

We normally use votive lights in our carved pumpkins but have tried small LED lights before. Always they were too dim to do the job.This set looked larger than any we had tried before so we got them. Sure enough, these are the first LED’s that will replace wax candles for us. These two lights are very bright but are also adjustable in steps from dim to bright. They come with a small remote that turns them on or off and changes the intensity of the light and also has timer buttons so you can set them to go off rather than run them all night. You can also switch via the remote between constant on and flickering like a candle light.They do not come with batteries and each light requires two AA’s and the remote requires two AAA’s.I use rechargeable batteries for everything that works with them and to my delight both the remote and the lights work just fine with rechargeables. So, I use the same batteries in Christmas, Thanksgiving and now Halloween. These will probably last forever as LED’s have very long lives so the $10 is well spent.I will recommend them to family and friends.
