These shelf brackets are exactly what I needed for a shelving project. They feel sturdy and well made, and the white finish gives them a clean look that blends in nicely. The 12x10-inch size provides plenty of support, and having 20 brackets in the pack is great when you have several shelves to install. The included screws are convenient, and installation was straightforward. Great value for a larger DIY project.

Review of: HOME MASTER HARDWARE 16 Pack Heavy Duty Shelf Brackets, 10x8 Inch Black L Brackets for Shelves, L Bracket Support with Screws for Wall Hanging Shelves and Fixing Decorative ClapboardSynopsis: Decent inexpensive 8"x10" light utility shelf brackets for shelves up to about 14" wide. Easy to install with included hardware, and attractive once installed. Priced at $17.99 on 7/3/26, these shelf brackets are a fair value compared to similar products in this price range.Pros: Product description is mostly accurate. Arrived well packaged. Decent inexpensive shelf brackets with nice finish which promises durability and corrosion resistance. Easy to install with included hardware. Brackets are sufficient, but not heavy duty as claimed. They are fine for small and light items. Although rated at 50lbs per bracket, I would upgrade the mounting hardware and be sure it was mounted into a stud before trusting heavier items on the shelf.Cons: These are not what I would consider heavy-duty as claimed, more a light or utility duty bracket. The steel is sufficient for most purposes but is flexible and can easily be twisted or bent - so not HD when compared to similar-priced, heavier brackets.Verdict: They're ok - they work, are relatively attractive and will be fine in most applications - but not heavy duty as claimed. Not great quality, but good enough. 3-Stars for falling below my expectations.

These shelf brackets are heavy-duty, sturdy, and a great value for the money! The steel construction feels really solid, and I like the one-piece design because they don’t feel flimsy or like they’re going to bend under normal use.The set comes with 10 brackets and plenty of screws, which made putting up several shelves much easier. Installation was straightforward, and the L-shaped design gives plenty of support without taking up a lot of space or distracting from the look of the shelves. I love the clean look of the white color.I’ve used them for storage and they hold everything securely. They’re versatile enough for a closet, workshop, garage, or living space, and they give you a clean, simple look once the shelf is installed. Great quality, easy to install, and an excellent value—definitely five stars!

Quite sturdy.

These look and feel great. They are heavy duty, so I know that my shelves will be able to hold quite a bit of weight. The brackets are very solid and come with all the hardware needed. I recommend using a cordless drill to make pilot holes in the shelf and the wall, though. Also, a 20 pack is enough for quite a few shelves. Mine ended up taking 3 per shelf - outsides and one in the middle - so I was able to make 7 shelves (3 normal ones, and one short one). That makes this a great value pack.

I thought "floating" shelves were the kinds where the brackets are hidden. These aren't that. But they are versatile, well-made, very inexpensive brackets for hanging a shelf in a hurry. They work very well and are surprisingly strong, given their weight, simplicity, and cost.I have also used brackets like these to reinforce cabinets. Strong and simpler than fancy joinery, suitable for garage cabinets.I have one mounted in my garage to hang rope and wire. Simple and quick. They come with screws—long ones to go into the wall, short ones to go into the shelf. Wall anchors are not included and you will need them if you're hanging shelves on drywall. No worries, plastic screw-in anchors are cheap. (For light duty, you could even use double-stick nano tape.)Stamped from sheet metal, these are not fancy, but they are strong, especially for the price. The seller claims 50 pounds per bracket, which I did not test. Use three or four per shelf if you want to be sure. The weight capacity will also depend on how well they are anchored.

This is a multi-pack of white L-shaped floating shelf brackets, the heavy-duty 12 by 10 inch steel kind, and they came boxed with the mounting screws and a Home Master Hardware instruction sheet, so you are not making a hardware-store run mid-project. The white powder coat is even and blends into a painted wall. The steel is a real gauge - these do not flex when you lean on them the way thin stamped brackets do, and the right-angle bend held square. Mounted into studs they carry a loaded shelf without sag, which is the whole reason to buy the heavier bracket over a decorative one.Only downside is the included screws are fine for the bracket-to-shelf side, but for the wall side you really want to hit studs or use proper anchors rather than trusting drywall alone with a loaded shelf. And at this size they are utilitarian more than decorative, so if you want a hidden floating look these will show. For garage, closet, or utility shelving, they are strong and the included hardware for half the install is a nice touch.

I recently used the HOME MASTER HARDWARE 20-Pack Heavy Duty Metal Floating Shelf Brackets (12" x 10", Black L-Shaped Shelf Supports), and overall I've been very happy with how they performed. One of the main reasons I chose these brackets was their heavy-duty design. Each bracket is rated to support up to 50 pounds when installed properly, which gave me confidence that they could handle heavier storage needs without bending or flexing. The steel construction feels solid right out of the box, and the black finish gives them a clean, professional appearance that works well in garages, workshops, warehouses, and utility spaces. The package includes 20 brackets along with wall anchors and screws, making it convenient to get started without having to purchase additional hardware. The mounting holes are well positioned, and installation was straightforward. The brackets felt sturdy during installation and lined up nicely with my shelving boards. For my project, I installed a 6-foot-long shelf and used four of these brackets spaced evenly across the length. The results were excellent. The shelf felt secure and stable, with no noticeable sagging or movement even after loading it with tools and storage items. Using four brackets on a longer shelf provided plenty of support and distributed the weight effectively.Another thing I appreciated is the 12" x 10" size. It offers a good balance between shelf depth and support strength. The brackets extend far enough to support deeper shelves while still maintaining a compact profile against the wall. The L-shaped design keeps everything rigid and provides reliable reinforcement where it's needed most. The black powder-coated finish also appears durable and resistant to scratches from normal use. In a workshop or garage environment where shelves often get bumped by equipment or storage bins, that's a nice feature to have.Overall, these HOME MASTER HARDWARE floating shelf brackets delivered exactly what I was looking for: strong construction, easy installation, and dependable support. With each bracket rated for 50 pounds and four brackets successfully supporting my 6-foot shelf, I found them to be a reliable option for garage storage, workshop shelving, warehouse organization, or any project that requires sturdy wall-mounted shelves. I would definitely purchase them again for future shelving projects.
