This tape works just like the painters tape we normally buy at the store! It’s super wide and works well for crafts that you need tape you plan to remove for or just for normal painting in areas you’d need more coverage.We use it a lot for our laser. My husband was going through a lot of the 2” tape and I thought it may be easier to just have a thicker roll. It works great! It is more expensive than the 2” but we are also getting double the amount since we don’t have to use two times as much to get a thick border. It does make it harder to get off the roll though. I tear it almost every time trying to get it unrolled. I don’t believe this is due to the quality but just how wide it is.It tears off the roll easily and sticks well to any surface we have used it on. It then comes off nicely without leaving any stickiness or residue behind!! The tape has a slight texture to the top. I’m not sure why, most of our tape is smooth. It has no impact on use though, that we have noticed. Overall, a great roll of super wide tape!

I'm using this tape for masking off canvases for art projects, and it's perfect. It goes down easily, tears easily, stays put, and comes right up even with acrylic paint overlapping it in places without leaving any sticky mess or shreds to clean up. there's absolutely no bleed under the edges with acrylic or oil paint, although I got a very slight bleed with water colors because they're so much lighter consistency that they bleed through on the canvas just a bit that's to be expected. leaves a clean, sharp edge when pulled up. The tape is easy to get started - it's not a job just to peel the edge up to get the roll moving.Highly recommended!

Ordered this: STIKPACK Wide Painters Tape 4 inch x 55 yds - to use when painting the exterior of my deck this summer. I am a really messy painter and yeah, I have managed to get paint past the standard 2 inch masking tape. With this I can tape off the house and not worry about the edges or my sloppy painting skills.I like that this is a brand name product. STIKPACK has a bunch of tape for sale and is not just another alphabet seller. The amount you get for the price is just ok but it is really wide tape. Decently strong adhesive that does not stay on the surface when pulled, but is not as sticky as 3M tape. Easy to pull apart but I disagree with the listing that you can tear it straight easily, I struggled a bit.

$34.85 when ordered. $34.95 now.I had no idea that they made painters tape this wide. I am so pleased with this. At first I thought it was messed up because it was connected about an inch on one side, but then I realized that was only at the start. It sticks good. It's easily removable without leaving behind any adhesive. I didn't have a problem with paint going under it. I found it easy to cut with an exacto as well. Overall I'm really thrilled with this. I have nothing negative to say about it

I use the tape and CA mount method on my CNC for thin and fragile stock. I always had to line rows of 2 or 3" painters tape which sometimes didn't work properly and was always a pain in the posterior to setup. Enter this 12" wide roll of painter's tape and voila problem solved. This stuff is great!

A few times in the last year I’ve used tape on painted surfaces only to have the tape pull of some paint and/or drywall paper when removed, and that sets in motion a whole repair and paint-matching process that is a big headache.So I’m much more careful now which tapes I use in what situations, saving the really strong adhesives for glass or plastic that are unpainted, and using this type of tape for painted walls and edges, etc.Of course part of the solution is the texture and edge quality, since the whole point is to maintain an edge when applying the liquid paint but also not create a tear line on the paint that is different than the tape edge when you pull it up.So I tested this as I show in the video on just a sheet of simple cardboard to see if it would leave behind all the paper, which it did just fine. I found that it did indeed work as well as the expensive “name brand” alternatives that they sell at the big box stores (where they have you as a captive buyer when you buy paint).I like the width – I tested the 4 inch version which I find it best for holding up sheeting like plastic drop clothes taped to the wall. I also cut it to conform it to a shape after applying and it worked well for that too.
