String hangers. They are working solid for my shop cabinets. They fit perfectly with each other which makes hanging things easy. There is plenty of screw holes so getting the aligned with a says in my wall was easy. I bought the longer ones and cut them in half so I was able to hang 4 cabinets in my shop with them. I have 4 of the metal garage style 2 door cabinets in my shop. After cutting each channel in half with my grinder I was able to hang all four. They are made from aluminum and machined or extruded well so they are very durable. I couldn’t be more pleased with the value I received. I will be ordering more since now I have dozens of ideas. My wife and I are discussing permanently mounting a piece on the front porch where seasonal decorations go so we could easily swap them out throughout the year. They are aluminum so they can be used outside. They included lots of screws but I needed a different type for my metal cabinets and longer ones for going through dry wall and into the stud.

These cleat hangers from Pointool are exactly what they should be. They are lightweight and sturdy. The cleats have lots of holes so you can be sure to hit a stud when you mount it. The cleat is thick enough to hold the weight of a heavy picture or other wall hanging without being too thick that it makes the item stick out far from the wall. These are what you want to use for hanging heavy items on your wall. They are the most secure and give you the flexibility to shift your picture left or right while still maintaining contact with the long cleat.I've made my own wood cleats before, and these are much better and fit together perfectly. All the hardware you need is included in this kit. Since these are made for hanging heavy items, I would ditch the mollys and choose the screw holes that align with your studs for the most secure mounting.

My wife inherited some paintings and since they are heavier and we don't want them to fall we were looking for a way to hang them that would suit our needs. I don't trust the wire hangers and a nail in the stud wouldn't work where she wanted them so I gave these a try. I now have a new favorite hanging system.You'll want to spend the extra time to make sure these are level since there is no adjustment after these are screwed down. Plus side is you wont have to go every week to straighten them out.Its definitely strong and you don't have to try 6 times to get the nail just right to catch. This is super easy to hook together.When you cut these to length, spend a few seconds with a file to remove the burns and keep everything smooth. I also suggest cutting both the top/bottom halves at the same time. You'll never see if there is an overlap but it will be even every time.I think I'll be using these to hang pictures forever.

When hanging heavy things like kitchen cabinets, it’s common to make French cleats by cutting pieces of wood with complementary bevel edges. These aluminum cleats take that concept and improve on it. There’s no wood cutting… You just use these straight out of the box. They are precise and easy to work with. They allow things to be hung more flush with the wall. Wood cleats typically need to be made with 3/4" wood. These cleats only extend 1/4" from the wall. The result should be at least as strong as traditional cleats, since the weight is held closer to the wall and the shear force is ultimately held by the screws fastened into the wall. (and hopefully into studs!)I ordered the 40” kit. You get 2 pairs of rails, screws and anchors. When using anchors, please be mindful of the weight you are hanging.I will get more of these and use them for everyday wall-hanging tasks. Even for lighter items like picture frames, I like the idea of a secure and perfectly level mount. Less worry about things not hanging level or falling off in an earthquake.This is a great product.

This is a high-quality French cleat for hanging heavy art or mirrors. These brackets are quite sturdy and fit precisely together. However, you need a very flat wall and a piece of wall art that will accept the cleat on the other side, which may take some work to get it to fall correctly against the wall, as it needs to be supported fully along the length of the cleat. Also, you must get it square to the frame so it hangs level, as you can't adjust it afterwards.Overall, this is a good deal on a set of long cleats, as two pair are included in this set. They are rather thick but lightweight aluminum but plenty strong to hold the promised 350lbs weight. The included screws and sinkers are long enough to reach into studs and hold the cleats appropriately on the wall.

There are dozens of different types of wall hangers available, but if you have something heavy and want to ensure it stays securely in place, French cleats are an excellent option.This kit includes everything needed for installation, including three different types of screws, hollow-wall anchors, a drill bit, a tiny level, the cleats themselves, and clear instructions. The overall quality appears to be very good, and since the package includes two sets, it's nice to have an extra on hand for a future project.I'm not sure about the advertised 300-pound weight rating, but it is certainly more than sufficient for what I plan to use it for. If you're hanging a heavy mirror, shelf, or other substantial item, a French cleat provides much better support than relying on one or two mounting points, especially if some of those points are only anchored in drywall.Overall, this is a well-designed, complete kit that provides a secure and reliable mounting solution for heavier items.

These are a nesting cleat type of hanging system. I really the look of how things hang flat against the wall and really can hold very heavy items. You have two hanging cleat systems in the kit, along with mounting hardware, a tiny level and even a drill bit. The level is very tiny, and if at all possible, use a larger one. These tiny ones are sometimes inaccurate as there is so little area that it is measuring to, and for this type of hanger, accuracy in leveling is imperative. These type of systems in my experience are kind of tricky to install and a larger level will be useful, as the cleat must be perfectly level. While you can make adjustments side to side, there is no tolerance for crooked. What I also recommend if you possibly can add a wood backing against the back surface of whatever you’re hanging so you can maximize your area where you can screw the cleat onto you will have more strength. The cleats are rated to support a hefty 300 pounds when all of the screws are used, but will definitely go down if you use less screws I would imagine. Start with the wall cleat. These types of hanging systems really do give you a finished look, where there is no tilting. There is one more critical measurement if you opt for only screws on both ends, for say a mirror in a wooden frame. For this 25 inch cleat, center to center of each hole is 23-1/2”. Also, unless you want the cleats showing, the piece you are hanging needs to be a minimum of 25” across. The cleat with the holes on the bottom is for wall, and the cleat with the holes on the top goes on your hanging. Then to install, go over the wall cleat and drop it into the channel of the bottom wall cleat. I have one other recommendation if you are hanging both cleats side by side. Mark the locations with a pencil and measure from the bottom up to the bottom of the wall cleat. It will make getting the two items much easier to hang identically.

This French Cleat system is strong and well made. I used it to hang a very large mirror. The mounting process was easy. I used a drill to drill pilot holes in the mirror to prevent splitting, and mounted the 2nd piece directly to the wall studs. It makes leveling the piece on the wall much easier and also eliminates the possibility of normal hangers pulling out of the wallboard and the piece falling as they do sometimes.
