These are perfect. We are using them in new constructions. Which is a lot less complicated than old construction. As the lights are installed prior to the ceiling drywall being installed. This kit comes with 6 recessed light housings. There are two poster board weight cutout templates and a sheet of instructions to assist you. The base moves on the rails so you have some adjustability during installation to work with. They offer an E26 bulb base. You will need a trim kit for each.Generally speaking, setting up recessed lighting can be a tad more complex. So, I give this a rating of 4 (advanced electrical knowledge) out of 5. There are additional components that you need to purchase to go with these as well. Bulbs and trim kits. Each has its own built in junction box. They are also side to side adjustable.I find these to be sturdy lights that offer a great amount of light to a space. Which is one of the reasons I like to use these in the kitchen or basement rec room

I bought this 6-pack of 4-inch recessed housings for a bedroom installation, and they worked out perfectly. The adjustable hanger bars made framing them in between the ceiling joists incredibly easy, sliding smoothly and locking securely into place.I paired these cans with LED trim modules, and the fit was seamless. Safety-wise, they are fantastic—the IC rating gives me complete peace of mind since I could pack the ceiling insulation directly around and over the housings without any overheating worries. They are also truly airtight, which is awesome for preventing drafts and keeping the bedroom properly conditioned and quiet. If you are updating a bedroom or doing a new build, this pack is an excellent, reliable value.

This 6-pack of 4-inch new construction housings is built exceptionally well, providing a rock-solid, permanent framework for bringing recessed lighting into an unfinished ceiling. The adjustable hanger bars slide smoothly and bite securely into standard joists, making it incredibly easy to frame up and center each light exactly where you want it before hanging drywall. They are fully IC-rated and Airtight, meaning they are certified to be in direct contact with ceiling insulation while completely blocking draft air leakage to maximize the room's thermal efficiency. Equipped with standard 120V E26 bases, they give you complete flexibility to screw in your choice of matching LED trims or smart bulbs. For a full commercial-grade, ETL-listed 6-pack setup, the value is excellent for ensuring a safe, clean, and perfectly aligned rough-in installation.

I’m using these while remodeling the kitchenette area in my basement, and they are working great so far.The housings feel solid and well made. I’ve handled some pretty flimsy ones in the past, and these are definitely not that.Installation was straightforward and everything lined up the way I expected. I also like that they’re IC-rated and air tight, which is nice when you’re finishing a basement and trying to do things properly. No issues so far. Just a good quality can light housing that does what it’s supposed to do.

I recently picked up some recessed LED puck lights that i thought would work with or without cans. I was mistaken. They were designed for use with cans exclusively. Well, life is full of happy little accidents and sometimes things happen for a reason. We decided itvwas time to remodel the attic and modernize the space. Using the cans is going to allow us to “rough in” electrical and have lights while we finish the rest of the work. Solid , metal housings promise durability, and being a hot attic, the added insulation factor from potential roof leaks and hot summer heat. Connection boxes are well designed, complete with the modern push-in wire nuts and plenty of space to double as junction boxes. Bulb base ready, and has an adjustable depth for various bulb design fitment. Real bargain with this value pack as well!

I recently installed this six-pack of recessed lighting fixtures and was really impressed with the overall quality and value. The housings feel sturdy and well-built, with solid metal construction and adjustable mounting brackets that made installation straightforward. I also appreciated the included cut-out templates, which helped speed up the process and ensured clean, professional-looking openings in the ceiling. The fixtures are compatible with a variety of trim options and provide a clean, modern appearance once installed. Wiring access was convenient, and the integrated junction boxes gave me confidence in the safety and durability of the setup. Overall, this six-pack is an excellent choice for anyone looking for reliable recessed lighting fixtures for a remodel or new construction project.
