yes yes yes! this is a great lock. I have one end attached to the tie down in the front of my truck bed. I loop it through everything I care about and lock it to the opposite tie down. everything's extra secure, in case someone pops my tonneau cover somehow, they're not running off with all my stuff. that easy. i love the how the lock is both fully adjustable and fully comes off the cable, so you can run the cable through something that's just a hair bigger than 3/8". full security and maximum ease of use.

This is a heavy duty cable lock. I got it in the 20-ft length. It came with the cable, a nice storage bag, four keys, and instructions.Basically, it is a long cable with a small loop on one end, a metal plug on the other end, and a lock that can slide freely across the length of the cable. The lock can be fully removed from the cable if you pull it over the metal plug end. To move the lock, you press the red button on the lock. That button can be pressed, and the lock can slide across the cable, even when the key is not inserted or turned.To use it, you run the cable through the lock, press the red button to slide the lock into position, then bend the cable around and plug the metal plug into the bottom of the lock. It snaps into position and does not come out without the key. You can then tighten the loop by pressing the red button and sliding the lock tighter, or make the loop bigger, up to the full 20-ft length of the cable.The important thing to know is that the loop size can still be adjusted without the key. I don't think that is a defect, since it appears to be part of the design, but it matters if you are expecting the cable to lock at one exact loop size. The plug stays locked in place, but the circle itself can still be made larger or smaller.The cable has a heavy duty look and feel. It is metal inside with a smooth vinyl coating outside, so it is easy to handle. The red button is easy to press, and the lock slides smoothly on the cable. The keys insert smoothly and turn easily. The lock is spring loaded, so you turn the key to unlock it, and as soon as you release the key, it snaps back into the locked position automatically.There are several loop setups possible with this lock. Since one end of the cable has a small loop, you can thread the cable through that loop and only plug the metal end into the lock. You can also create two secured loops by running the cable through the lock, threading the cable through the small loop on the end, and plugging the metal plug into the lock. The manual explains the different setups with diagrams, which makes the functionality simple to understand.
