Easy to apply to different materials. The stair tread covers are great for areas where you need extra safety in slippery areas. They stay in place and easy to sweep clean. They help me to notice the steps are there so the appearance is not bad. They do get a little warm when outside in the sun, but not hot. The sand grain could scratch you if you fell onto them.

I did not use these in an outdoor setting, so I can't speak to their suitability for outdoor use, though they are advertised as being for that purpose. I used these on a set of very narrow attic stairs that someone decided would be wise to tread with oak and finish with a very slippery finish for who knows what reason. They worked perfectly for that situation - very high heat in the summer and very low temperatures in the winter. So far, in the hot weather, they have worked great. No signs of the adhesive oozing or any other issue related to the heat. The installation is easy. The hardest part will be having to trim the width if 30 inches is too wide for your application. Just peel and stick after that. I recommend using a hand roller to apply them and to make sure there are no air bubbles. They are thick and appear very durable - like skateboard grip tape. They are black so how visible they are will depend on your application. They are kind of expensive for what they are. At the current price point, and getting 12 in a box, these are about $2 each. If you're not looking for this exact size, you would probably be better off buying a roll of whatever width you need and cutting your own. But, if you need die-cut corners and your application is 30 inches wide, these are a good choice.

I have painted wooden steps leading into the basement. Not ready to carpet them but the treads were slick. These are the perfect addition to give a solid non slip surface. They stuck to the painted wood easily without peeling or loosening. I did need to lay them flat with a weight on them first as they came rolled up. Easy to use, durable and with a viability that give comfort when your arms are full of boxes headed for the basement. Thee were perfect for my use.

Got these because I live in the rainy PNW, and slippery outdoor steps are no joke! These have been a great addition for making the stairs around my house safer. The quality is really good. The material feels durable, and the adhesive has held up well. I also really like that these are longer than a lot of the standard pre-cut stair treads I’ve seen. They actually provide good foot coverage instead of feeling like a tiny strip that only covers part of the step.Installation was easy — just clean the surface, peel, stick, and press down. They made an immediate difference in traction, especially on wet steps where things can get sketchy fast. The 12-pack is a great value too. I was able to use them on all the stairs across my different porches, which was exactly what I needed. If you live somewhere rainy, have outdoor stairs, or just want a little extra peace of mind for kids, pets, or anyone who doesn’t want to take a surprise tumble, these are definitely worth it!

I ordered these for my back deck steps since the wood can get slippery when wet.I have stair treads for indoor stairs and was familiar with the installation process.I liked that the treads came in a roll to reduce shipping size and prevented damage in transit. You don’t want a tread that sticks up to change the step height, so the thickness of the treads should not be an issue simply for safety reasons. The install was simple and stress free! I will admit that I only brushed off debris and did not clean my stairs before installing. They were still able to stick after repositioning! There is a little red tab to help you start the peel process which is easily removable and a wonderful perk!I pulled back a small section at a time to make sure I was going straight. I was not. I actually peeled it up twice to get it spaced and aligned. It did NOT affect the adhesion.I did not need the scraper (scrapper as listed on the box)for install. It was easy to lay smoothly by hand.I have not had them long enough to report on durability. I can report that they get extremely hot (obviously) in direct sun.Walking on the treads barefoot is not a problem for me. The grit is enough to keep you from slipping but not enough to hurt your tootsies. With 12 treads included, you will be able to create a safer stair experience for you and your guests without interfering or distracting from the overall appearance.I think these are great quality for the price.

I felt that these stair treads were very easy to apply. They provided adequate traction, and were a nice deep black color. The only downside that I found, was the tool that they had provided to help smooth and adhere the treads. It was chewed up by the grit of the tread because that tool was purposed for vinyl or smooth surface application. So it was useless after the 1st few strips.

We installed these on our outdoor steps, and the difference in traction was noticeable immediately. The grip is excellent, even when the stairs are wet from rain or morning dew, and they make the steps feel much safer for both kids and adults. The treads were easy to install and came with everything needed, including the scraper tool. I appreciated that they were already pre-cut to size, which made the process quick and hassle-free. Once applied, they adhered firmly and have stayed in place through regular outdoor use.The texture provides plenty of traction without feeling overly rough underfoot, and the black strips blend in nicely with the steps rather than looking overly industrial. They’ve held up well so far and have given me much more confidence about family members going up and down the stairs, especially after rain. This is a simple upgrade that makes a big difference in safety. If you have outdoor steps that become slippery, these are absolutely worth considering.
