Great HVAC Air Filters!

[Size: 20" x 25" x 5"]
These air filters are great! They are super easy to install in an HVAC system and come with easy to read and follow directions if one had not installed them previously. They fit my system perfectly and were sized correctly and as described in the listing. They are lightweight and easy to wash and reuse. I am very pleased with my order and would order more filters from this company in the future.

Heavy Duty Filtration When You Actually Need It

[Size: 20" x 25" x 5"]
Getting hit by the smoke from the Canadian wildfires made indoor air quality an absolute priority, and swapping this massive five-inch electrostatic pleated media into the main blower unit made an immediate difference. The aluminum alloy frame gives the whole assembly a rigid structure that does not bend or collapse under the heavy static pressure of a high-speed fan pushing air through a restrictive MERV 11 rating. It dropped the ambient particulate count in the house almost overnight and kept the servers in my rack from ingesting a layer of fine soot.Since it is washable and reusable, the upfront cost makes a lot of sense compared to constantly buying disposable thick filters every few months. Spraying it out with a hose and letting it dry completely restores the airflow capacity without degrading the electrostatic properties. It slid right into the standard intake slot without fighting tight clearances, making it an easy swap for anyone trying to upgrade their home air handling system before the next heavy smoke season rolls through.

Heavy-Duty, Reusable Alternative to Expensive Disposable Media Filters

[Size: 20" x 25" x 5"]
Heavy-Duty, Reusable Alternative to Expensive Disposable Media FiltersPros:Exceptional Build Quality: The aluminum frame and mesh layers feel rigid, heavy-duty, and built to withstand repeated cleanings.Smart Concept: Uses the same proven principle as high-performance washable automotive air filters.Massive Long-Term Savings: 5-inch media filters are notoriously pricey; a reliable reusable filter pays for itself quickly.Thoughtful Design Features: Includes a bottom drain port to help speed up water runoff during cleaning.Cons:Noticeably Heavy: The solid metal frame adds weight, which can make it a bit unwieldy when climbing up a ladder or into an attic space with one hand.Requires Downtime/Drying Strategy: Needs full drying time to prevent mold or moisture issues before going back into the system.Detailed Review:If you’ve ever used high-performance, washable air filters for race cars or performance vehicles, the concept here will feel instantly familiar—and it makes total sense for a home HVAC system. The build quality gives every indication that it was designed specifically for repeated washing and long-term reusability. The rigid aluminum frame and mesh layers are exceptionally sturdy and robust compared to standard cardboard-framed disposables.Because 5-inch deep-pleat filters are typically only replaced once a year, this isn't something you'll need to wash constantly, but maintenance does require a bit of thought. My plan for cleaning is to thoroughly wash and rinse it, then leave it out in the hot sun to dry completely. Direct sunlight not only ensures all the inner media layers dry out thoroughly to prevent mildew or mold, but the UV exposure also adds a nice natural sterilization step. The only minor trade-off to the robust build is its weight. Because of the solid metal construction, it is heavier than traditional disposable filters. If your HVAC filter housing is up in a ceiling or attic access that requires climbing a ladder, holding this heavier frame with one hand while navigating up can feel a bit unwieldy.Time will tell how many wash cycles the inner filtration media can handle before showing wear, but given the initial build quality, it feels built to last. If you don't mind the drying process and the extra bit of weight during installation, this is a very solid, cost-effective alternative to tossing expensive 5-inch disposable filters every year.

Solid Reusable Filter Option

[Size: 20" x 25" x 5"]
I picked this up as a reusable option instead of constantly tossing disposable filters, and so far it seems practical. The aluminum frame feels sturdy, and the filter has a little weight to it without being difficult to handle. The actual size is worth checking closely, because furnace filter fitment can be picky. The material quality feels good, and it slides into place cleanly in the right housing. I like the versatility of being able to wash and reuse it, especially if you are trying to cut down on how often you buy replacements. Cleaning it is not hard, but you do have to stay on top of it or the whole point of a reusable filter goes away. For value, it makes sense if it lasts and you are willing to clean it regularly. I would still keep an eye on airflow and dust, but the durability and build quality seem better than a cheap throwaway filter. Installation was simple and it's very easy to use.

Durable reusable air filter with excellent airflow and long-term valueDurable reusable air filter...

[Size: 20" x 25" x 5", Size: 20" x 25" x 5"]
Washable MERV11 air filter is an excellent alternative to disposable filters, offering a combination of solid filtration, durable construction, and long-term savings. The reinforced aluminum frame feels sturdy and well built, resisting bending or warping while fitting securely in the filter housing. The electrostatic filter media will do a great job capturing dust, pet hair, and other airborne particles while still maintaining good airflow through the HVAC system. It's a nice balance between filtration efficiency and system performance, helping improve indoor air quality without placing excessive strain on the equipment. One of the biggest advantages is the reusable design. Cleaning appears to be straightforward, and after allowing the filter to dry completely, it's ready to be installed again. This significantly reduces the number of disposable filters that need to be purchased throughout the year, making it both an economical and environmentally friendly option. The integrated handle makes installation and removal much easier, especially for larger 5-inch filters. It's also compatible with a wide range of HVAC systems, making it a versatile replacement option. This is a high-quality reusable furnace filter that combines durable construction, effective filtration, easy maintenance, and long-term value, making it an excellent investment for maintaining cleaner indoor air and protecting your HVAC system.

Will save plenty of money in the long runWill save plenty of money in the long run

[Size: 20" x 25" x 5", Size: 20" x 25" x 5"]
This washable, reusable HVAC filter is a smart idea. The cost of buying disposable filters adds up quickly, especially the larger ones like this in the 20x25x5 size. But really, at any size they get expensive when you have to buy them and throw them away them over and over. This one is cleanable and washable which will save money in the long run. It's made mainly of aluminum, as far as I can tell. The listing mentions it is made of aluminum and cotton; it's difficult to see inside the filter so perhaps there is some sort of cotton inside. The outer aluminum box frame is very sturdy yet still lightweight. It is durable and should hold up over time. The outer aluminum mesh grid is also aluminum but thinner and lighter, which makes sense because it is mesh and part of the filter. Beyond the mesh is a finer mesh that also looks like aluminum, and beyond that it is difficult to see what sort of filter layer there might be. I tried to show the layers in my close-up photo, but as you can see it is hard to see through all the layers. My attention to the inner layer is mainly due to washable feature of this filter. The directions that come with the filter say that you can rinse it with a low-pressure water stream, and it would be nice to know what makes up the inner layers of the filter to get an idea of how much water it might absorb and how long it could take for the filter to completely dry. I haven't been using this filter long enough for it to get all very dirty, but I did test out washing it with a water hose, and I left it out in the hot summer sun to dry. It dried very quickly, but I'm not sure how thoroughly dry it was deep inside the layers. It's a good idea to have a spare paper filter ready to take over while the reusable one is being cleaned and dried, unless you can survive keeping your HVAC unit turned off for at least several hours.I do recommend carefully reading the cleaning instructions; my initial thought was that I could simply vacuum it, but the instructions say to use a blow dryer rather than a vacuum, and to blow out "against the direction of air flow." Rinsing instructions also say to apply the water "against the direction of airflow." The instructions also point out there is a drain port on the bottom of the filter you can open to help drain out water, which of course will speed up the drying process. In other words, there are some "dos and don'ts" for best cleaning results and to help the filter last as long as possible, so be sure to familiarize yourself with them.Installation is easy, the same as any cardboard filter. This filter fits our HAC unit very well, but there are some adhesive foam strips you can add to the sides to fill in gaps, if needed. The pack includes plenty of strips, which is good since I don't know how they will hold up to water spray and to being up in a hot attic for months at a time. Still, they are a good idea for the best fit, because the best fit means the best filtration. The filter is doing its job well, too. I'm very pleased with the MERV11 filtration level; we have two small dogs and live in a hot area so we have to run the AC constantly for about 6 months a year, and MERV11 seems to be a good level to get pet dander, dust, allergens, etc. but still allow our system to run efficiently.Overall, I'm really excited about the thought of not having to buy so many of the large, expensive HVAC filters our system requires. This one costs more initially, but over time it will save us a bundle.

Sturdy, well made, save money and good priceSturdy, well made, save money and good price

[Size: 20" x 25" x 5", Size: 20" x 25" x 5"]
I ordered this washable furnace filter because I've already been using a reusable filter for quite a while, and I've found that it can save a lot of money compared to constantly buying disposable filters. One thing I've learned from experience is that reusable filters do require maintenance. They need to be vacuumed, washed, and then allowed to dry completely before going back into the furnace. That's really the only downside. If you only own one reusable filter, you either have to wait for it to dry before reinstalling it or temporarily use a disposable filter. That's actually why I ordered this one. It wasn't because my first reusable filter wore out—it was because I realized that having only one reusable filter wasn't as convenient as I had expected. I originally thought one would be enough, but after using it for a while, I found myself putting off cleaning it because it needed time to dry before I could reinstall it. During that time, I ended up using disposable filters instead.Having a second reusable filter simply makes maintenance easier for me. I can install a clean filter right away while taking my time cleaning and drying the other. That may not be necessary for everyone, but based on my own experience, it's a setup that works much better for me.The filter itself seems very well made. The frame feels sturdy, the material looks durable, and, most importantly, it fit my furnace exactly as the listed dimensions indicated. Since it's a filter, there's really not much to install beyond making sure it fits properly, and this one fit my furnace exactly as expected.I also think the price makes sense. Disposable filters can become surprisingly expensive over time, especially if you buy higher-quality ones and replace them every few months. A reusable filter does require a little more effort because you have to clean and maintain it, but over time it can easily pay for itself.Overall, I'm happy with this filter. It fits well, appears to be durable, and now I'll have a clean reusable filter ready whenever the other one needs maintenance. For my situation, that's a convenience I didn't realize I would appreciate until I had been using reusable filters for a while.
