We keep the door to the first floor restroom shut, because the open door blocks the kitchen. The door handle that was previously installed did have a lock. This fit our privacy need perfectly. No more accidentally walking in on guests. It was easy to install, and all parts were included. Our metal piece on the door frame was not the same size (the new one is larger than the carved area), so I just left the old one installed. It looks nice, and makes it clearly visible whether someone is using it. I have no issues with it so far; it appears durable and was a good value for what it offers.I also wanted to mention that the vacant/in-use indicator on the first door handle I received was messed up. Somehow it had been rotated too far, and wasn't showing the appropriate indication. The seller messaged me after I posted a question as to how to fix it. After a few pics and questions, they shipped me a new one for free. I didn't even have to return the old one. Thanks for the great customer service!

Picked these up to replaced the ones on our door of our restaurant, to find out. . these are not the same as commercial sized handles! They would work great for standard doors, but our commercial bathroom door, the ring part is bigger, so when we tried to switch out for these, they didn't fit properly.THAT being said, they are made very well, good quality, and a great value for the money for use at home! We ended up installing them on our home bathroom doors and they were easy to install, operated well, and of course, easy to use! So we we able to put them to good use after all!

This is my second Hazzga bathroom/meeting room indicator lock. It is is a lighter-duty version of my first Hazzga lock. They look identical from the outside and I expect both to hold up over the long term. One note: In case of emergency, the locks can be opened from the outside using a coin. This likely makes them ideally suited to medical facilities.Both are now installed in public and employee restrooms where I work. They solve two problems: 1) The old locks, although of good quality, were prone to locking themselves when exiting the room; and 2) People not closing doors behind themselves, making it appear they are vacant when they are not.Installation should be easy; just a few screws to install to complete the job. It comes with a substantial striker plate, but if you are happy with your existing striker you can leave that one in place. The doors at work have unusual setbacks and I needed to install a metal door wrap to install these in a more normal location. This is not a flaw with the locks, but with the way the originals were installed. Indeed the fact that these Hazzga locks were able to be installed at all is a tribute to their flexibility.As for finish looks, I prefer the matte black option to the satin nickel option. However, because the black versions would be unlike all other of our door hardware, we opted for the nickel ones.In summary, these are high-quality locks and well worth the investment.

This is a really nice commercial-style bathroom handle set. One thing I immediately noticed is that the indicator says “Vacant” and “In Use” instead of “Occupied.” I actually like that wording better for our situation because this was installed at a head lice clinic where we regularly have children visiting.The indicator changes automatically based on whether the door is locked. Green means vacant and red means in use. The entire reason I ordered this was because we previously had a normal lever handle, and different families have very different bathroom habits. At the clinic we intentionally leave the bathroom door open when it is available, but many people close the door after leaving. That made it impossible to tell at a glance whether someone was actually inside, so I’m hopeful this will eliminate a lot of awkward bathroom checking.The installation was extremely easy. Honestly the hardest part was removing the old handle because somebody had painted over the edges years ago. Once the old hardware was out, this became a straightforward drop-in replacement for our existing residential lever handle.I did not even need to replace the strike plate. The included strike plate had a slightly different screw pattern and size than the existing one, but the latch aligned perfectly with the old plate so I left the original in place. The new latch itself was the same size as the old latch and fit directly into the existing holes from our previous Schlage handle.After installing the latch, the handle assembly just fit through normally and screwed together from the inside. Everything lined up perfectly and tightened down solidly. The instructions were included, but honestly the install was intuitive enough that I barely needed them.The quality of this handle is genuinely impressive. I have never personally owned a commercial interior handle before, but this is clearly built to a much higher standard than normal residential hardware. The handle is heavy, solid metal with substantial thickness to it. Nothing feels flimsy or hollow.The finish is a brushed stainless style with a very angular modern design. The edges are crisp and geometric, but everything is polished smooth so nothing feels sharp or uncomfortable to touch.The interior lock itself is also very easy to operate. It protrudes enough to grip comfortably and does not require fine finger dexterity. That matters more than you might think in real-world use.One especially important feature for us is that the emergency unlock from the outside is dramatically easier than our previous bathroom handle. It does not require a special key, but it is still recessed enough that it cannot really be triggered accidentally.This matters a lot in our clinic because we frequently have very young children visiting. It has happened more than once that a two- or three-year-old locks themselves into the bathroom and either cannot unlock the door or simply refuses to come out. This design makes it much easier for a parent or staff member to safely help without damaging the handle or struggling with tiny emergency keys.At around $45, this is definitely not the cheapest interior bathroom handle out there, but it honestly feels worth every penny. It solved two real operational problems for us, feels extremely durable, installs easily, and looks sleek and modern at the same time. I highly recommend it for commercial bathrooms or anywhere you want a sturdier, more functional privacy handle.
