This is a reasonably exhaust fan. If you've got one in your bathroom, for example, it's probably pretty similar sounding. Just a low grade roar.With all that sound and fury, it does push a commensurate amount of air though, so that's a plus. I just wouldn't recommend it if you're looking to get more air exchange in, say, your bedroom, study, or office.

it is a great product, does the job and then some, looks good and easy to install, the only one thing I didn't like is how loud it is, other than that, it works SO good.

I never used the fan and I am going to return it. There was nothing wrong with the fan, in fact it was very nice. I was able to fix the fan I have so I no longer needed the one I am returning. Even though I never used it it looked like a very nice fan

LOUD LOUD LOUD. If using in shed, chicken coup, attic, or other location where sound is not an issue, it is a great (although there are others for the same price that move more air and are much quieter).
