Very handy tool, well made and will last years for my occasional use. This is a very cost effective alternative to the manual crimping tools, and provides stronger connections. The selection of dies is perfect for the automotive and rec engine use that I need it for. It is a good choice for the home DIY.

Absolutely fantastic, built solid and seems like it will last. Made making all my large cables for a solar battery bank quick and easy. Much easier than the style that you hammer to crimp the terminals.

Bought this for a skid steer battery cable project so I could build my own cables instead of paying a shop, and honestly I’m impressed with how well it worked. The crimps came out solid, consistent, and looked professional once everything was finished.The tool feels sturdy, the dies fit well, and it had no problem crimping heavy cable lugs. For someone who likes being able to repair and build their own equipment wiring, this thing is a great addition to the toolbox.My only real critique is that it can be a little awkward to operate by yourself. You’ve basically got one hand on the tool, one hand on the pump handle, and then somehow need a third hand to keep the cable and lug positioned correctly while starting the crimp. Once you get the setup figured out it works great, but there’s definitely a little learning curve.Overall though, very happy with it and I’d buy it again.
