These brackets are very well-made. I have actually been using this type of bracket with two by fours and two by sixes for many months. These have just the right amount of holes to allow for very firm attachment to wider joist lumber. I do want to point out that these are about 7.5 inches deep and the nominal depth of a 2 x 8 piece of lumber is 7.25 inches. So with a standard 2 x 8 in this bracket, some of the bracket is going to show. Additionally, the 2 x 8 I bought at my local store actually measured 7 inches deep and so these brackets definitely stick up past the lumber. So depending the use, you may want a smaller bracket. Additionally these would work perfectly fine for a 2 x 10 piece of lumber.The smaller screws are very good for attaching these brackets to the sides of the joists resting inside the bracket, however, for anchoring them to another joist, I definitely use a longer and stronger screw from my stash. I like the spacing of the screw holes in the bracket. It really does seem that this bracket was well thawed out. By the way, the bracket is true to the advertised length in the product listing. There is just a little bit of play in the alignment of the bracket, but this just needs to be tweaked into position to make sure this are solid and that they look good in place. I tried to demonstrate this in the photos that I’ve included, but it’s subtle and barely noticeable. The thickness of these brackets is good and they seem to be very heavy duty and fit for purpose.

Very, very strong! Heavy Duty. Not cheap, flimsy junk. Well made in its manufactured condition… well made hardware at a very good price. The size is very accurate-right! Easy to install and if these hangers are exposed- their appearance is just very good looking- again, not junk. Top quality at a very good price. VeryGood

These are seriously heavy-duty joist hangers. The steel feels substantial, and once installed they hold the beams securely in place with very little movement. I also like the concealed-flange design because it provides the structural support I am looking for while giving the finished project a cleaner appearance than brackets with exposed flanges. The speed prongs are a nice touch for temporarily positioning the hanger while getting everything lined up and fastened, and the black powder-coated finish looks good while providing additional protection against corrosion. At just under $90 for a pack of 24, I think these are a good value, especially considering how solid and well made they feel. When I am using hardware to support framing, sturdy construction and a secure fit matter considerably more to me than saving a few dollars, and these definitely feel built for the job.

These are heavy duty and well made. pre-drilled holes make assembling our open air awning so much easier and they look professional, uniform and so black! I only had 2 x 6 boards on hand for a photo, but I wanted to show how easy it is to slide the boards into the brackets. I would expect to pay double what these are listed for so I am thrilled with the value!As a side note, I love that I can order high quality steel, and powder coated brackets right here! Going to the hardware store is so confusing. Plus steel items are extremely heavy if you're getting more than a couple so I wouldn't want to carry them & likely make more than one trip to the car!!

Good quality concealed style hanger brackets. They appear to be very durable. Meant to be concealed, but where you can see them, they look good. 24 piece set is a good value for the money. Very easy to install
