W-6000-C Hard Hat with Chin Strap, Type II Class E 20,000V (ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 R2019), Non-Vented Safety Helmet-Style Fit with EPS Liner, for OSHA Worksites
Key Features
- [TYPE II 360° IMPACT COVERAGE] Built for real jobsite hits that don’t come straight down. Tested to meet ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) Type II requirements for top + front/back/side impact performance—ideal for tight spaces, scaffolds, and industrial maintenance work.
- [CLASS E 20,000V + NON-VENTED SHELL] Non-vented, closed ABS shell tested to meet Class E electrical insulation requirements (20,000V dielectric strength) for electrical-hazard environments and utility work. Suitable for OSHA-regulated worksites when selected and used as part of a compliant PPE program.
- [FULL-COVERAGE EPS LINER—SOLID PROTECTION FEEL] High-impact ABS outer shell + full-coverage high-density EPS liner helps manage impact energy and reduce “bottoming out” feel—an upgrade path versus suspension-only hard hats for tougher industrial conditions.
- [CHIN STRAP + LOCKED-IN FIT AT HEIGHTS] 4-point Y-style chin strap system helps keep the hard hat on during climbing, bending, and fast movement. Rear ratchet suspension + vertical height adjustment lets you dial in a stable, no-slip fit—built for crews who can’t stop to readjust.
- [ACCESSORY-READY—NO DIY MODS] Standard 30mm side slots for ear defenders/visor carriers, integrated headlamp clips to secure your light, and a dedicated front mount designed to fit GUARDLEAD approved eye protection/visors—build a work-ready PPE setup without hacks.

This is a good hard hat, well made and comfortable. It has already been tested a bit- my roommate clocked me with a long pole she wasn't keeping track of, and I only noticed the sound. N8cely adj7stable fit, and a good value.

I like this Orange, Class E Safety Helmet and it's pretty comfortable to wear. The inside has thick foam padding at all contact points and allows the helmet to fit tightly, without a large amount of pressure pushing against your head. The padded chin strap also fits nicely and is adjustable at the clipping point in front, as well as with the finer adjusting knob in the back of the helmet, creating more of a custom fit for the wearer. The bright orange color makes this helmet easy to see in the daytime and the highly visible silver reflective tape on the top, sides and rear of the helmet, can help pinpoint your location at night or in dark confined environments, when illuminated by a bright light source such as a high lumen flashlight. The overall quality is nice and it seems that some thought went into the design. However, this safety helmet has one design flaw. There are no vent holes in the helmet to allow for heat and moisture to escape. Making it uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. There are 'slots' around the rim, but these seem positioned to accept a headlight strap and are not for ventilation.

This hard hat feels like a major upgrade from a standard jobsite hard hat. It has a solid, professional build, but it still feels comfortable enough to wear for long periods. The ratchet adjustment makes it easy to get a secure fit, and the chin strap helps keep it in place when bending, climbing, or moving around.I also like the safety features, especially the Type II protection, Class E electrical rating, EPS liner, reflective details, and accessory slots for things like a headlamp or other attachments. It does sit a little higher on the head because of the protective liner, and since it is non-vented, it may feel warmer in hot conditions. Even with that, the comfort, fit, and level of protection make it feel well worth the price for serious worksite use.

I just got this inspected and approved for jobsite use, an immense upgrade to the company issued ones in terms of both weight and comfort. The good : it's a modern looking easy to clean lightweight hardhat, chinstrap is comfortable, fits well, and has the protection of a 2E, meaning a dense skeletal foam insert and quality scuplt that can take glancing and side impacts. This does have all the standard accessory mounting slots as well as band holders for headlamps. The Bad : Guardlead did a really great job on this hardhat, but the 2E designation has a couple of setbacks inherent to all versions. Primarily the lack of venting, you can't have vents in the electrical resistance hat, but the space created between hat and scalp does let some air through still. Which is the second of the 3 issues, the aforementioned space created in part by the hard foam insert makes the hat sit a bit tall on the head. You can remove this, but you'll lose the benefit of the impact rating. The last unfortunate truth of this class and designation is price. This isn't a super high cost version cashing in on a name, but even bundling the OSHA requirements with the included features precludes low cost. But this is quite reasonable, in the low middle range of available 2E hats

Pretty comfortable helmet once you have it dialed in to your head size. Feel well built and looks great. I do like that it had headlamp/ goggle strap clip so they don't go sliding off the helmet. I'm used to wearing the cheap construction site hard hats and this is definitely a step up. The chin strap took a little to get used to because it's not a standard fastec buckle. Now time to customize it so nobody steals it.

This is a substantial step up from the typical hard hat. The shell feels solid, the full-coverage liner provides a secure, well-cushioned fit, and the four-point chin strap keeps everything comfortably in place while climbing, bending, or working overhead. Once adjusted, it stays put without constant readjustment.I also like that it's accessory-ready with side slots and headlamp clips already built in, making it easy to customize without modifying the helmet. The ratchet suspension is smooth to adjust, and the overall fit inspires confidence whether you're on a construction site, in industrial maintenance, or working around electrical hazards. If you're looking for a quality Type II hard hat that feels durable, comfortable, and well thought out, this one is an excellent choice. It offers the protection, features, and fit expected from premium safety equipment and is well worth considering. At just under $80, this isn't the least expensive hard hat available, but it also isn't trying to be. The build quality, Type II protection, Class E rating, and comfortable fit make it feel like premium PPE that's well worth the investment if you wear a hard hat every day.

I had one big issue that knocked two stars of my review. They need to improve quality control and check before sending out. One the straps was sewn on wrong which cased a twist in the strap across your cheek. It was sewn on 180-degrees off to the buckle which clips onto the helmet and could not be un twisted, this causes the strap to be uncomfortable as it rubs on your skin since it doesn't lay flat. I tried to untwist it but to no avail. The clip has a tab which will only secure in one direction and since the straps are sewn on there is no way of correcting it. I had to cut the stitching off, flip the strap and resew it on. A super big inconvenience and I'm not sure if this is even allowed since its modifying a PPE. For the price this should not have passed quality control. The helmet itself is great, good snug fit with a low profile so its good for indoor use in tight spaces. I like that there is no brim so it doesn't keep getting caught up on things while working. Its comfortable with a foam suspension instead of just straps and it includes a sweat band. Ventilation holes would be a nice addition.

This hard hat exceeded my expectations. The fit is comfortable, the adjustment system is easy to use, and the chin strap helps keep the helmet secure when bending, climbing, or working in tight spaces. It feels much more stable than traditional hard hats that can shift around during movement. The shell feels durable and well constructed, and the interior padding provides good comfort for extended wear. I also like the high-visibility color and reflective accents, which improve visibility in low-light conditions. The Type II design and Class E rating were important features for me, and the helmet gives a solid sense of protection without feeling excessively heavy. The included suspension system is easy to adjust and stays in place once set.Overall, this is a comfortable, professional-looking safety helmet that appears well made and offers excellent value for the price.
