This is a durable metal and glass spigot. This one has a built-in sight glass with a red ball that floats with the water so you can monitor water levels without lifting the top chamber. I really prefer this design so that I can keep my filters clean and always know how much water I have left. What I really love about this glass spigot is the red floating ball indicator that helps track water levels. Time will tell how durable this water spigot is because it can always break, though the metal parts probably won’t. The material used is rust-resistant stainless steel and it should last without leaching chemicals into the water.Overall I really love the value of this universal gravity filter accessory because it brings clean water level monitoring, leaky free pouring, and zero plastics.

I have been using this sight-glass spigot for about two weeks, and it has worked very well. The biggest advantage over a standard spigot is being able to see the water level without having to lift the upper chamber or guess how much water is left. The clear tube is easy to read, and the red floating ball makes the level even easier to see at a glance.Installation was straightforward, and once everything was properly tightened, the spigot felt secure and worked as expected. The handle operates smoothly, the water flow is good, and I have not had any issues during regular use.The metal construction also feels solid and substantial rather than lightweight or flimsy. The sight glass is positioned conveniently alongside the filter, so it provides the extra functionality without taking up much additional space or getting in the way. After two weeks, it has been reliable and makes checking the water level considerably more convenient. It is a worthwhile upgrade for a gravity water-filter system, particularly if you are tired of opening the unit just to see when it needs to be refilled.

This sight glass spigot works well, and I love the floating red ball that shows at a glance how much water is in the lower chamber. The one star deduction is because the handle protrudes straight forward when in the off position, and I would have preferred “off” being a bit more tucked out of the way.

We have a stainless steel countertop water filter that we have been using for years. It has a drain valve at the bottom, but there was no way to see how much water was left inside. The original plastic valve also was not ideal. This sight glass spigot solves that problem. It gives a clear view of the water level with a red floating ball so you can see exactly how much is left. The stainless steel construction looks much better than the plastic and matches the filter well.Installation was straightforward and it works as expected. Being able to see the water level makes the whole setup more practical and easier to manage.Solid little upgrade for anyone with a similar water filter system. I recommend it.

Now, this is a quality spigot. I ordered the 7 inch, and just in time, as I am making my own counter top water filtration system out of two stainless steel soup pots, to filter our drinking water. Our well has very high mineral content, this spigot does its job cleanly and without plastic, the SS keeps the water tasting great.I bought the kettles, and a stand for them to stack on, and was going to go buy a spigot and the drill bit to match. The spigots I have found, just plain water dispensing ones, start at about $10 for cheap plastic, and move up to $25 for cheap 'SS' or metal ones, and the prices go up from there. For just a spigot. So the price for this size at $56 is high, but has so many more features, it's worth it.This baby is NICE. It's heavy, well constructed, all heavy glass and food grade top quality 304 stainless. I even tested it to make sure, and it passed with flying colors. The only plastic I see is the red ball float. The sight tube and spigot dismantle completely, so I suppose I could remove the ball. I am not very worried about that.Installation was simple, just insert and screw on the washers, bolt, and spigot. Nice tight fit, no leaks so far.To upgrade to a solid, SS, heavy duty, sight level spigot makes me very happy. It is a little pricey at $56 for the shortest of the three sizes available, (7in, 10in, and 13in) , but you get what you pay for, most times. And, as long as you order the size appropriate to your project, you should be fine. My big soup pots are the perfect fit for this sight spigot. FIVE STARS

Works great as a replacement spigot on my cooler w/no more leaks!•My son-in-law replaced the old leaky plastic spigot on our yellow 10-gallon drinking water cooler with this BOKKRALL 7-inch sight glass spigot, and it’s a big upgrade.•Looks sharp and feels solid (metal construction).•The lever action is smooth and easy to use with one hand.•No leaks after installation which was the whole reason we replaced the old one.•The tall sight glass with the red floating ball is a nice feature if you’re using it on a gravity filter system. On the Igloo it just sticks up, but it still looks clean and professional.•We realize this was designed mainly for gravity water filter systems (Berkey-style, etc.), so the long clear tube is taller than a standard Igloo spigot. But, THATS OK!! On the cooler it works fine, it sticks up more than the original which is no issue at all.•Installation required a little care to get a good seal (we used the included washer/nut and made sure it was tight).•MAKE IT YOUR OWN! WE TOTALLY MADE THE COOLER OPERABLE AGAIN, LIKE NEW W/NO LEAKS!! DONT BE AFRAID TO ALTER PRODUCTS TO SUIT YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS (so long as it’s not contraindicated or dangerous to do so!!) GIVE NEW LIFE TO YOUR EXISTING PURCHASES!IF YOU CAN FIX THINGS, WHY TOSS THEM OUT?•Overall: 5/5⭐️’s!! NO LEAKS! SOLID BUILD!(Very happy with it. It’s a sturdy, leak-free replacement that looks much better than the cheap plastic one that came with the cooler. Would def purchase another if/when needed!

The point of a gravity filter is to remove impurities. I was hesitant when I ordered this that the red ball was plastic but figured I could just remove it and still see the water level through the glass. That idea worked. However, the bigger problem is the spigot itself. Rather than use a stainless-steel ball cock to open and close, they chose a plastic turn valve. Photo attached. The entire internal mechanism is plastic. On top of that, the bottom of the spigot unscrews to access the plastic components. The listing talks about being all one unit to avoid buildup areas, and then they produce something with more build-up potential than anything I've seen. I'm so disappointed with this that I'm returning it. It's not cheap, and to completely miss why people get gravity filters in the first place is disappointing. That being said, this unit is very heavy (that's a positive). It feels like solid stainless and the glass window is glass. That is all wonderful. I tried to see if I could somehow change out the spigot, but I can't.

When you rely on a universal gravity water filter system, keeping an eye on the internal water levels usually requires lifting the top chamber entirely—a repetitive chore that can easily lead to accidental overflows or heavy spilling. I picked up this 7-inch sight glass spigot to streamline the daily refilling routine. By adding a clear exterior sight line directly to the lower tank, it completely removes the guesswork, transforming the filtration system into a much more user-friendly setup. What I likedInstant Level Identification: The inclusion of a vibrant red floating ball inside the clear view tube makes reading the exact water line effortless from across the room.Rugged Exterior Hardware: The spigot is constructed from a heavy-duty, durable metal material, providing a rigid and reliable structure that easily outclasses flimsy plastic spigots.Flawless Universal Fit: The threading and sealing washers are designed beautifully to adapt to standard gravity filter systems, locking tightly into place without any persistent leaks.Sleek Polished Finish: Visually, the metal components boast a clean, highly polished silver look that seamlessly matches stainless steel filtration housings for a uniform, factory-grade appearance.Consistent Flow Rate: The internal valve action triggers smoothly, delivering a clean and steady stream of filtered water without sputtering or slow dripping. What I dislikedDelicate Sight Line Maintenance: While the metal frame protects the clear sight tube from standard bumps, you have to be extra gentle when cleaning inside the narrow glass sleeve to avoid scratching the tracking line or losing the small floating ball.Stiff Initial Valve Assembly: The turn handle requires a bit of extra physical leverage right out of the box before it breaks in, making the first few pours feel slightly rigid.Who should buyGravity filter system owners who are tired of guessing internal water volumes and want a heavy-duty, metal spigot with an easy-to-read red floating level ball.Anyone looking for a solid hardware upgrade to replace a standard, low-cost plastic dispensing tap with a more reliable metal fixture.Who should skipUsers with small, compact countertop setups where an extended 7-inch front-facing sight tube might protrude too far into limited walkway space.Star Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI’m giving this 7-inch sight glass spigot five stars because it is a fantastic, heavy-duty upgrade for any gravity water filtration system. The durable metal construction feels premium, the polished silver appearance blends perfectly with stainless steel tanks, and the red floating ball makes tracking the water level completely foolproof. It functions flawlessly, seals tightly without leaking, and offers excellent long-term value for the money. If you want to eliminate the hassle of lifting your heavy filter chambers to check the water line, this is a highly recommended solution.
