I got this silvery barn door latch, and it fits perfectly on my cabinet doors. The latch is compact, sturdy, and very easy to install. Opening and closing it is simple, and the lock operates smoothly and quietly. Since it’s made of zinc alloy, it won’t rust, which gives me peace of mind even though the cabinet is outdoors and sometimes exposed to rain.Before using this latch, we used to tie the cabinet doors shut, which took time to secure and untie. The door lock latch holds in place every 90 degrees -- up, down, left or right, it holds in place until you move it. This solves at least a couple of the cons of most barn door locks:1. Because the latch stays in place on it's own when latched into the receiver, it won't come loose if bumped hard. This is especially important if used on trailer doors, RV cabinets, etc.2. There are a couple of configurations that are not possible with your standard barn door latch.In addition, these latches are clearly durable and strong. They function like other other barn door latches and offer excellent security that is super easy to make happen. These are also a bit smaller than most barn door latches I own. That's not a bad thing because the material is the key. These are a bit smaller but just as strong from what I can tell.
