These are by far the best, easiest to use, and most versatile child locks I’ve found. They are very sturdy and can be used on all types of door mounts, including french doors. Super easy to install.

This turned out to be a very useful childproof lock for my backyard door. Once my toddler figured out how to unlock locks I wanted to add something for extra precaution to keep him from wandering off. This lock works great for that. It seems plenty sturdy. I love how it doesn’t allow you to partially open the door like other side locks. The locking motion is smooth and easy to engage. Installation is pretty straight forward. I’m not a particularly handy person but I was able to install it myself. The white color blends into the white trimming pretty well so it’s easy to overlook it being there and doesn’t create an eyesore. For the price, I’m very happy with it and I would recommend.

We have a 1/2 bath downstairs and we have tried so many things to get a lock that works. This was a pretty good solution to the pocket door. But the screws didn’t stay in very long. Had to get creative and glued them.

The zinc alloy body feels decent in the hand, not heavy but not flimsy either.Installation took about five minutes with a drill and the included screws. You do need to pay attention to the rotation clearance - if you mount it too close to the frame, the latch won't flip properly. I eyeballed it the first time and had to shift it over slightly, but once positioned correctly it works smoothly.The 90-degree twist action is intuitive. You can mount it horizontally or vertically depending on your setup, which is handy.This really is built for sliding doors. You can adapt it to regular swing doors if they open outward, but that's more of a workaround than the intended use. For barn doors, cabinets, or garden gates, it makes more sense.I've had it about a week and it's holding up fine.
