This SAPHONIX Green Painters Tape Automotive Masking Tape is perfect for house painting as well as automotive. Years ago, I was a painting contractor and was always on the lookout for new products. I absolutely detest standard cardboard colored masking tape. It looks more like crepe paper with tons of tiny little wrinkles. Those wrinkles allow brushed paint to flow into those wrinkles and makes a mess on the surface being painted. I’d rather trim paint without tape at all than use traditional masking tape. This tape, on the other hand, is smooth and actually adheres cleanly to the surface keeping the paint line crisp and tidy. This tape is easy to use and releases well. Also, it tears easily for quick placement. It is good for multiple projects from crafts to house or car painting. The eight roll package is very cost effective.

This tape is better than anything I have purchased locally.The adhesive is much stronger than normal painters tape and the lift is clean producing nice sharp lines.The prep I did was to wipe the surface with IPA prior to applying the tape.Properly packaged to prevent the tape rolls from sticking together and you get quite a bit of tape.You get quite a bit of tape as well. The the roll opened in the pick of the 4 roll has had been used for my project already. There is plenty of tape on these rolls.

It is well made. It sticks well without being overly aggressive. It comes off easily without leaving sticky residue behind, which saves a bit of cleanup time. It’s great for any painting DIY projects. Overall, it’s a dependable painter's tape that works, and the price is great for the set. Not bad.

While auto detailing tape typically offers greater heat resistance, solvent & chemical resistance, & conformability or maneuverability than ordinary painter's tape, it can be still be used as painters tape or for other short term taping purposes. It's backing is slightly more flexible which makes it a little better to apply to curves. One of its better advantages is that it is less likely to leave an adhesive residue on a surface if it is exposed to heat or left in place for a long time. Saphonix's 5 roll package of this tape is encased in a plastic sleeve to help prevent the adhesive from drying out over time. The sleeve is tough enough that a single roll can be pulled out from the end while leaving the other rolls still encased in plastic. While it is only a little more tear resistant than regular painter's tape it, the adhesive is slightly tackier also. In short, it is good quality paper tape at a good value pack price.
