Nice product like a hot knife going through butter

I have hardly used this set but for me it works fine. I was drilling a 1/4 inch hole 4 times through steel. There seemed to be no problem at all for the bit and it was easy to drill through the metal. I bought the set with lots of bits but they can be purchased in 3 or 4 different set sizes.

Haven't used them a lot yet, but did have a project requiring me to drill multiple holes (at multiple sizes) through 1/4" steel plate, and these bits went through the steel very quickly. They piloted through the steel true (i.e. didn't jump around causing false starts or non-symetrical holes).

I've been using these in my drill press, very happy with the quality for a more budget friendly set of drill bits. Been using them pretty frequently as of late, drilling through up to 1/4" steel. Just be sure to use some tap oil or the like and I can imagine these lasting a long while without dulling out.

These drill bits are truly high speed. They are durable and do not dull quickly. Importantly, they are not brittle. I bought a set of bits from "HF" and now carry a piece of one in my index finger. It will be with me until the archaeologists find my remains in 10,000 years, or so.

Metal case seized up on me after 2 days of use during a construction project. The bits are SHARP, as advertised/reviewed, and I got a lot of them, but the case will no longer open or close and in order to reopen it I had to pull it apart hard and the flimsy hinges broke. Now I have a lot of sharp bits to store and organize outside of the the box it came with, which is annoying.

All bits were super sharp, a little bit more grabby than I had anticipated, but otherwise very good. Have chipped the heads off of two by drilling hardened steel, but that was mostly my fault for feeding too slowly and going too fast. Otherwise these drills are great for the price, make precise holes and cut very quickly in all materials up to hardened steel. Would not recommend to drill hardened steel with these bits. They will work, just get dulled. Have not yet tried to re-sharpen them.

Where do I start. I didn't have high hopes when I bought them because they were on the cheaper side for drill bits. Since then they have blown me away. Had to drill 225 pilot holes and bring them out to 3/8" after all through 1/8" steel and both bits I used are still sharp. I've drilled frame rails, 3/4 plate and even some stainless. Haven't broken a single one.
