Held well up when was used with water

[Set name: 800-5000 Grit]
I used the " BMOTL 5 Inch Wet Dry No-Hole Sanding Discs, 120Pcs, 800-5000 Assorted Grit …" to try to polish the pontoons on my boat. I used some with water and they left a smooth surface with no additional scratches. They did not seem to degrade from being wet for a long time. The discs stayed firmly attached.Unfortunately I do NOT have a lot of experience sanding aluminum and aluminum oxidizes when wet with water. I did not use water while sanding with the finer grits and the discs clogged quickly. (So I gave it 4 stars). I think that this is my fault.I would look at reviewers that have more experience to judge how they evaluate clogging.

Works great on my random orbital sander.

[Set name: 400-3000 Grit]
While these sanding discs can be used for both wet and dry sanding, when I need to finish a tabletop or other large wood working area, I prefer using water to lubricate which minimizes hazing and produces a clear final finish. With no holes in the disks, I am able to use this with my random orbital sander as the solid disk prevents water being sucked up into the dust orifices (my sander is not rated as being able to wet sand). With no current project to work on I cannot attest to how well these perform/last. However, I did test one sanding disk on an old painted and poly surface. The disk did a very good job of smoothing and polishing the old, faded surface and the result was a nice shiny and smooth finish even without using polishing compound or wax. Conclusion: these work very well and, the disk seemed to hold up very well also. With 120 disks (15 of each grade) and costing $0.17each, I think this is a good purchase if you need different grades of very fine grit wet sanding disks

This is a perfect range of grits for wet sanding. The disks are designed for wet or dry sanding, with 120 pieces. You get a nice range from 800 to 5000 grit assortment...A total of six grits, twenty of each. I know for a professional, that's not many, but for a DIYer, working in the garage...depending on how much you use them, these could last for quite some time. They are secured on your sander with hook and loop fasteners. Easy to and fast to change...The listed price is less than what you would pay at your local parts store also...for this quantity. They're not going to go bad, so why not get them?

This review is for BMOTL brand 5 Inch Wet Dry No-Hole Sanding Discs, 120Pcs, 800-5000 Assorted Grit | 800 1000 1200 1500 2000 3000 5000, Silicon Carbide Hook & Loop Sandpaper for Orbital Sander, Metal/Wood/Automotive (800-5000 Grit). The boxed set of 5” sanding discs was delivered on-time, complete and as described by the seller. There are 120 silicon carbide abrasive discs comprising 20 each in the range 800 to 2,000 grit and 10 each of 3,000 and 5,000 grit. These are fine to ultra fine sanders most suited to automotive bodywork repair, paintwork finishing/buffing and similar applications. Although the discs are consumable items, they are robustly made with a durable backing and can be used for wet or dry sanding. The discs are 5” in diameter and attach securely, using a hook and loop arrangement, to my standard 5” orbital sander. I am satisfied with the quality and performance of the BMOTL sanding discs; this set will serve me well for diverse DIY projects.

Good quality and durable

[Set name: 800-5000 Grit]
I work with a lot of wood boxes, decorative frames and resin that often require a lot of finishing work to get them as smooth as possible.  I have access to many sanding blocks and sheets, but I find it difficult to source extra-fine sanding paper.  This set solves this problem.  This set includes grits from 800 to 5000, and almost all of them are relatively smooth.  Using these wet or dry has transformed my projects. Whereas I don't mind sanding to get a smooth finish, these sanding papers make the job effortless and leave a smooth and professional finish.  You get many pieces for the price, they're excellent for finishing work, and I would recommend them for that purpose.

Quality fine grit sanding disc set

[Set name: 400-3000 Grit]
I used these 5-inch sanding discs for some finer finish work and liked having the full range from 400 through 3000 grit in one pack. They are much better suited to smoothing, polishing and wet sanding than aggressive material removal. The hook-and-loop backing grabs securely on my sanding pad and makes grit changes quick when I am working through the different stages. I also like the no-hole design for hand sanding because there is nothing to catch on an edge or corner. The backing feels flexible but still tough enough to handle wet use without immediately turning soft or falling apart. Grit coverage seems consistent across the discs and I was able to get a clean finish without random deep scratches showing up. Having 120 pieces also means I am not burning through the assortment after one project. For the amount of sandpaper included and the number of grit choices, the value is pretty strong. These sanding discs make the most sense for automotive finish work, metal polishing or anyone doing detailed wet sanding rather than heavy stock removal.

[Set name: 400-3000 Grit, Set name: 400-3000 Grit]
It’s my first experience with this brand and I have to admit I’m glad it was recommended, considering quality, quantity and price. You get a very useful range from 400 to 3000 grit and it is wet/dry which is very welcome. So far I’ve tried it on mild still, stainless and on wood. Wood itself and sanding between PU coats and final finish. Very pleased with performance during the process and results. They look and feel somewhat thinner than usual but hold very nicely and longer than expected. Caught myself smiling as it does makes you feel good when a product just works as it should.I will definitely try other products from this brand and recommend it to others. If you find this package grit selection is not for you, go ahead check their listings here on Amazon – they have plenty to chose from.Hope this helps.

[Set name: 400-3000 Grit, Set name: 400-3000 Grit]
I’ve used a handful of BMOTL sanding products over the last year, including 9" x 11" sanding sheets, wet/dry sandpaper, and other sanding items, and I’ve been consistently impressed with the quality. BMOTL may not be a household-name abrasive brand, but everything I’ve tried from them has been solid. These 5-inch hook-and-loop silicon carbide discs are another good example. This is definitely more of a specialty sanding pack than an everyday woodworking pack. The grit range starts at 400 and goes all the way up to 3000, so these are not for heavy material removal. These are for finer sanding, wet sanding, polishing, buffing, finish leveling, headlight restoration, automotive work, metal polishing, and other situations where you need very fine, controlled abrasion. The silicon carbide grit feels very consistent. Each disc within the same grit seems to match well, and the abrasive coating looks evenly applied. That has been one of the things I’ve liked about BMOTL in general: their backing and abrasive consistency tend to be better than a lot of random budget sandpaper brands. The backing also feels excellent. It is flexible, sturdy, and very high quality for this type of disc. These do not feel like cheap paper discs that are going to fall apart the second they get wet or flexed. These feel like flexible, thin but durable polyester fabric.I also like that these have no dust-extraction holes. For normal random orbital sanding, holes are helpful. But with these very fine grits, I will mostly use them by hand on a 5-inch hook-and-loop hand pad or mouse-style hand sander. When I use regular 8-hole discs by hand, the holes can catch on corners or edges, which gets annoying. These solve that problem because the surface is continuous. You can still use them on a random orbital sander, of course. You just will not have dust collection through the disc because there are no holes. For wet sanding or hand polishing, that is not really an issue. This pack is also a good value. Silicon carbide wet/dry abrasives can get pricey, especially in higher grits, and this set gives you a lot of discs across a useful range. They are not something I will use every day, but when I need fine honing, polishing, finish leveling, or wet sanding, I’ll be glad to have them.Overall, these are excellent fine-grit sanding discs. The backing is strong, the grit is consistent, the no-hole design is actually useful for hand sanding, and BMOTL continues to impress me as a budget-friendly abrasive brand that punches above its price.
