The Install:Swapping out an existing fan is about as straightforward as it gets here. No surprises, no missing hardware, no moment where you're staring at the ceiling wondering what the instructions meant. Done and done.The Design:This is a flush mount, which makes it a practical choice for bedrooms and other rooms without towering ceilings. It comes in white, but the blades are two-toned -- flip them and you get a light wood grain finish instead. Nice to have the option without buying a different fan.The Light:Built-in LED with three color temperatures and stepless dimming from 10% to 100%. In theory, 10% is the dim, ambient setting. In practice, it still reads as pretty bright. It works well, but temper expectations if you're hoping for a true nightlight level.The Controls:The remote has a dedicated button for each of the 6 fan speeds, so you can jump straight from speed 1 to speed 4 without clicking through everything in between. Small thing, big improvement over the usual approach. There's also a timer and a memory function that restores your last speed and light settings on power-on. If the fan is on a wall switch, that makes it especially handy.The Motor:Very quiet. At full speed (level 6), the only sound is moving air. No creaking, clicking, or squeaking. For a bedroom fan, that's the whole game. The DC motor is also reversible, so you can switch airflow direction for winter without climbing up to manually flip anything.The Verdict:Solid construction, easy install, whisper-quiet operation, and controls that actually make sense. Outstanding value for the price.

We got this for our son’s nursery, the price was affordable and the delivery was right on time. Unfortunately, it was missing screws and was scratched a little on one of the blades. My husband had to find some screws we had laying around (see difference in photo) to finish building it. Otherwise, the lights are great, the remote is helpful and the size was perfect for his room.

Needed an upgrade to lighting & air circulation in a room used for crafts and this has fan has been a great solution. It has various light intensity options as well as different fan blade speeds that can all be adjusted with the remote that is included. We had a master electrician install this fan so we cannot attest to how simple or difficult it may be to put together and install. He did note the presence of an old mercury light switch that needed to be replaced as these switches cannot be used with fan operation. This is why, in our opinion, it is important to make use of the experience of licensed and insured electricians when installing in new lighting fixtures especially in older homes like ours. He did note that the LED light in this fixture should last at least 10 years. It is super quiet too -- a huge bonus from the old noisy models. And while the remote can be attached to a wall using the enclosed bracket there are other options to consider if you don't want to drill into the wall, including using command strips. Highly recommend this fan & light for quiet smooth & easy operation ...

this fan works great and is very quiet puts out a lot of air .comes with a remote and looks highend .for me it was very easy to install.

First off, 42 inches is probably smaller than you are expecting, but this is still a good size for a bedroom.This fan is very quiet at low speeds and at higher speeds is quieter than you'd expect given how fast the fan moves. I do notice a slight wobble at high speeds (even with a newly installed, fan rated ceiling box), but it is not bad enough for me to attempt to troubleshoot using the included balancing weights. I appreciate they provide a way to balance the fan but the steps just seem daunting.Installation was a little challenging, but they helpfully provide a video in the listing which I found easy to follow. When you are trying to line up the motor with the housing, it is pretty difficult to do. What worked for me is putting a single screw in from below so I could line everything up using that screw. My Phillips screw driver was long enough to then remove that screw and install it from the correct direction once the other screws were in. I was a little annoyed at how many steps were needed in the installation but it is clear they make you do more steps so the fan can be packaged in a smaller box. My biggest gripe is the terminal for connecting the wires. There are so many better ways to connect wires that doesn't involve trying to use a small screwdriver over your head while holding a wire into a surprisingly shallow terminal. After finally getting the wires secured in place I noticed the fan also came with wire nuts, I wish I just used those.The light is very bright but the available dimming covers a good range and the dimmest setting is good for a bedroom. One small annoyance is switching color temperature resets the brightness to full but I really appreciate the different options. They claim 3000K for the warmest color but it feels a lot more like 2700K to me, which is a positive as far as I'm concerned. My pictures are on the warmest setting.The remote has a good variety of options and is generally easy to understand. I also appreciate that the fan remembers the previous setting even if I turn it off at the switch. Batteries for the remote are included (two AAA). The remote also includes a wall mounted holder, so hopefully that will help keep my daughter from losing it.I like the appearance of this fan a lot, it looks very modern. You can set the blades to plain silver or wood design, both look good.The quality feels very good, especially the motor, which spins very smoothly.While the installation is a bit more involved than I'd like, you get a very nice fan for a very reasonable price, definitely a good value for money.

Selected to replace a chain operated, decades old, Sears 52" fan that had no light and no wall switch. It was a true ceiling hugger that extended only 8" from the ceiling. I needed a ceiling medallion to cover up the unpainted ceiling area hidden by the old fan. That was a first for me but I found one that was reasonably priced and somehow got it mounted in a way that the fan hanging plate holds it to the ceiling.This fan is a beauty. So far it is quiet and extremely attractive. It negates the need for a wall switch and provides the ceiling light I have wanted for a long time. I have installed several ceiling fans myself over the last few decades, but this one was all new to me with more up to date approaches to wiring including computer type plugs with modular connectors. It comes with a balancing kit. Thankfully, that was not needed.I was disappointed with the difficulty I had attaching the blade brackets to the fan blades. The threads in the fan blades do not accommodate the screws readily probably due to the paint. Avoid power tools for this job and lubricate the screws. Luckily an extra one was included in my package. I was further disappointed by the fact that one of the three screws used to attach the light fixture to the fixing plate turned freely and would not tighten. In this case there was also an extra one in the package, but I had the same issue with it. Finally, I replaced it from my own hardware collection.My final let down came from the fact that when the fan is hanging from the very desirable wire rope the final grounding wire for the motor was too short to be attached anywhere. Since I was doing this alone I need to lengthen it with my own grounding wire.A few other issues include the fact that two of the blade brackets had gotten slightly abused between the point of manufacture and packaging and that the first fan I received in a box marked as the white fan I requested contained a silver fan. I’m happy to say that I returned it easily and had the correct replacement in two days. That was excellent.I have to mention the importance of the installation video as the written instructions are sorely lacking. I must point out that the demonstrator fails to properly place the fixing plate inside the canopy when attaching it to the motor cover. Also, the wire connection block on the hanging plate in the video uses Phillips Head screws. My fan has small flat head screws. It would be nice if the video could be slowed down as in some YouTube videos. It would also be extremely helpful if the threaded shaft of many of the smaller screws were slightly taped at the ends for ease of location and entry into the receiving hole.All in all , it was quite a challenge, but I’m pleased with the result.
