I ended up NOT using this outdoors but instead I put them on either side of a set of mirrors in a bathroom remodel. I figured if they could handle the outdoors, they could definitely handle the humidity and damp air of a bathroom! They really do look quite nice and modern. Installation was pretty straight forward if you have ever installed a light before. They provide a good amount of light, plenty to see in a bathroom with lights going both up to diffuse off of the ceiling as well as down to the countertop.So, not only for outdoors!

These outdoor wall lights are really pretty and arrived in great condition.The set was packaged well, and both lights looked good right out of the box. They feel well made, not cheap or flimsy, and the matte black finish gives them a clean modern look.Once installed, they work great and put out a nice bright light. I really like the up-and-down lighting effect because it looks stylish while still being practical.The brightness is strong without looking harsh, and the warm light gives a nice finished look to an entryway, porch, garage, or outdoor wall.For around $55 for the pair, I think the price is fair and the value is good. Like that these lights emit from both top & bottom. Like the $ saving aspect of these efficient LED lights, and their output.I think the design looks great! I like the size of these too! I included the measurements in my pics off of the box.Really appreciate them being weatherproof AND expected to last a very long time. The included directions are clear and thorough.The paint on the lights looks good and should hold up over time BUT BOTH OF MY LIGHTS ARE SCRATCHED because they weren’t protected well from the included electrical bracket and hardware. Both are scratched in the same area because of the packing. So the lights would need/should be repainted or at least touched up (if it matches color & finish) But maybe not all of these will end up coming with scratches….its just unfortunate for me.Overall the lights are priced well and affordable and I do expect them to last a long time. The installation went well on the first one and it works, emits good light, and we like the hue & intensity. It was a very easy install, partly because I was replacing an existing fixture, but overall it is straightforward. Pleased with light, except for the scratches.

I have something very similar to this on my house now. I actually thought they would be about the same size but there’s a little difference in a good way. These are actually a little bit larger and project light in both directions which I’m a huge fan of. when they built my house they put two downlights on either side of the garage where these will go and on the front one up and down light on one side of the door. I won’t have to do anything other than change out the fixture. Remove the old one Connect the wires I will utilise the junction box as it is. You should be able to get a good sense of what my goal was if you look at the pictures. I will definitely be ordering from this manufacturer when I decide what size I want to replace my main front porch light with. The fact these come in a package of two guarantees that you get the same finish. It’s an anodised aluminium finish and I can tell you that I’ve had my current lights on 24 seven for the last 11 years. I tried different mechanisms to turn them on and off and then it just turned out to be more efficient just to leave them on. They use almost an inconsequential amount of electricity. Fixture one is my current light fixture picture two is comparing the fixture I ordered picture three is comparing the fixture I ordered to my front porch light.I hope this is helpful and if it is be sure to let people know they were helpful in their reviews because sometimes I feel like I’m wasting my time.

They are waterproof, made of aluminum, and for exterior use only, porch lights, entryway, or garage.The manufacturer suggests that these lights give premium high-efficiency C08 LEDs. Tremendously and energy efficient and have a clear glass cover to protect them from the elements. These lights also have a long service life of 50,000 hours. 50,000 hours during normal evening use would work out to about 10 years before they would need to be replaced.It’s a thickened aluminum wall that's IP65-certified and weatherproof. It will withstand rain, snow, and extreme temperaturesThe manufacturer suggests insulation is easy, and hardware and instructions are included for a quick setup. But of course, assuming you already have junction boxes in place and wired to your home, we wanna put these two lights in; if not, it becomes more complicated.If you do plan to do the installation yourself, which you can do, I strongly urge you to make certain that if there are existing junction boxes involved, you’ve made certain the power is turned off to those junction boxes at the circuit breaker level, at the local switch level.You should also have an electoral testing device. I always carry one. It looks like a red pen when you push the top of the pen, and the red light goes on if you bring the tip of the pen near a wire that’s energized. It starts chirping like a bird, and the lights start flashing, so you know the wire is energized without actually touching it.Peace Bites have installed plates on the back, which you can remove attached to the junction box throughout the wire for the hole in the center. Connect them to the wire coming from the light fixture, push them all back into the waterproof junction box, and then connect the base of the fixture to the install plate.And without outdoor installations, I always recommend applying a bead of silicone along the entire exterior of the space between the fixture box and the wall. This helps seal out rain and insects.
