I really like this tool. If you’ve never used a drywall cut-out tool before, it makes the job so much easier and faster compared to using a hand saw. You can get through your cuts quickly, and the adjustable depth is especially useful because you can control how deep you’re cutting without worrying as much about going too far.Just keep in mind that it does create quite a bit more dust and debris than cutting by hand. I definitely recommend having a vacuum nearby or using it in a workspace where making a mess isn’t a big deal.The build quality feels pretty good, especially considering how affordable it is. I also really like that it uses Milwaukee 18V batteries, which makes it convenient if you’re already using that battery platform.Overall, it works well, saves a ton of time, and makes drywall cutouts much easier. I got this for my husband to use while building Halloween decorations and props for our outdoor display, and it's been a great addition to his tools. Got this cordless cutout tool to help out with some basement renovations since I had a bunch of new recessed lights and outlets to put into the drywall. I really like that it works flawlessly with my existing red brand 18v batteries so I did not have to buy into a whole new system. It is super easy to just snap a battery on and get right to work. The brushless motor is surprisingly powerful and the saw has absolutely no problem tearing through thick boards. It is nice having the three different speed settings so you can slow things down when you need to be a bit more precise around delicate areas. The depth guide is also really straight forward to adjust and holds its position tightly without slipping. As far as the construction and materials used, the plastic housing is incredibly thick and the whole device feels very sturdy in the hand. I have complete confidence that this tool will last for the long haul given how robust all the moving parts feel. It is definitely a solid value considering how much the name brand equivalents go for these days. Overall, this is a pretty perfect addition to my tool bag!
