We grabbed this 4 pack of YULINKCO 4FT T5 4500LM Linkable LED Shop Lights to temporarily, then permanently brighten up a room we're working on.Before I put up just 2 of these lights, the room was like a cave,m even in daylight. Each of these 4 foot fixtures is 150W Equivalent, but using only 44W.Since the ceiling in this room is 9.5 feet, we preferred something hanging and the hardware included is easy and quick to install. These are superior in every way to fluorescent fixtures.Right now we just have them up simply to light the room while we renovate, but once we've decided on the layout of the lights, we'll make them permanent. The thing that complicates permanent mounting is that the cords are ridiculously short for a HANGING CEILING FIXTURE. Unless you have ceiling-mounted electrical outlets operated by a wall switch, or the longest arms in the world, these cords are too short and the on/off switch is too far from the plug. These could have been 5 star if they had made the cords interchangeable so that there could have been shorter linking cords rather than just the one length cord for linking. The cords are also heavier than the fixtures themselves. So you must (find a way to) mount the cord very securely to the ceiling or the fixture will not hang correctly. The Good:- Each uses a small amount of electricity but puts out a lot of light.- Lightweight for easy handling (but see below)- LinkableNot So Good:- Lightweight, so the weight of the cord makes these hang awkwardly- Switch placement is weird IMO, especially for a ceiling fixture- Cords are far too short for reaching a wall outletThese are still worth the $45.99 (at time of order) simply for the ease of brightening up a room quickly, but some more thought would have made them much better. As far as reliability, we have no idea how long these will last. Some LED fixtures we've tried lasted years, other just days. Time-will-tell how long these last.
