Probably one of the most neglected maintenance items in any shop, is the intake filters on an air compressor. Like any filter on any machine, changing them regularly will lengthen the life of your compressor. These offer the added benefit of reducing the noise level from the compressor as well. They are super easy to install, and at this price, there's no excuse for not taking care of your compressor.

My workshop is immediately on the other side of a wall from where our guest stay in their RV. My compressor had been disturbing them as I tend to work very early in the morning. I canโt believe how much quieter it is with this air compressor muffler installed! It is a night and day difference. A few days ago I was working around 6 AM and later that day asked my friends if I had bothered them, and they said they did not even know my air compressor had been turned on! It is an incredibly massive difference. I would absolutely recommend these for anyone who needs to keep the noise level of their air compressor down.

Please don't make my compressor any less noisy. It's just as noisy to me but I guess reduce it a couple of decibels. I've been painting a lot with my compressor and the dust from the paint caused this filter. So I change it out. This comes with several cartridges.

These air intake filters are a great way to help maintain and upgrade your large air compressor.The kit comes with 3 metal filter enclosures that can screw into any air compressor that has a 1/2-inch inlet screw. Each of the enclosures comes with a paper filter pre-installed, plus there are several more replacement filters included that you can install later if needed. The metal filter enclosures can be opened by twisting off the lid firmly, but in my testing I found this impossible to do by hand only and you will need a pair of large jaw pliers to be able to open them.Although the enclosureโs 1/2โ screw fitting ended to being too large to fit my Harbor Freight Fortress air compressor, the round paper filters were still a perfect fit and could be used without problems.Overall, these are a nice set of replacement intake filters that will help you to maintain and extend the life of your air compressor.

This set includes 3 1/2" NPT threaded silencers with filters pre-installed in each of them, along with 6 extra filters for a total of 12 total pieces. For only $15, this is a great value for the money in my opinion for this complete and good quality kit. They were very quick and easy to install and took less than 2 minutes. These fit one of my air compressors but my smaller one has 3/8" threads so be sure to check your sizes before ordering. These filters help to quiet the sound of the compressor, but also help to keep out moisture, dust, and things alike. I wouldn't hesitate to order this durable all metal silencers set again, and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!
