I ordered this as a gift, and when I opened the box everything was in separate pieces. Since the person I’m giving it to doesn’t like assembling things on their own so we put it together for them. The instructions were simple, and we finished the whole setup in about ten minutes.There are many different color settings you can switch through using the remote control, and the light changes beautifully. I’m going to pack the instructions together with the remote’s box so they don’t get misplaced when we wrap everything up for gifting. Overall, it’s a cute lamp with great lighting options and very straightforward assembly.

The shade is a cream color and the base is white, so that's not a great match right out of the box. It looks exactly like the pictures, both base and shade, though, so I can't really complain about that too much. What they don't mention is that the shade is one of those that comes in pieces and has to be assembled. Well, the (plastic) crystals are already attached, but the actual shade comes in the form of two rings and a flat panel that you have to roll on yourself and velcro shut. Not a fan of those. The tripod and shade are kind of different vibes, too, with one a bit more modern than the other, but that again is pretty obvious from the photos so I can't very well complain too much about getting exactly what I'm told I'll get.My star ratings explained:5 - Outstanding intersection of price and quality, an excellent product for an excellent price. Descriptions might be poor enough not only to impact customer experience, but play fast and loose with terminology in a particularly egregious way.1 - If I'm giving a one-star review, there is something WRONG, and I believe it to be intentional -- eg not the fabric described, not the materials promised (esp with regard to leather, cashmere, silk, or jewelry), or similar issue such that I would tend to recommend avoiding the product altogether. I don't just not-recommend this, I anti-recommend this.
