Needed to plug an 8 inch hole after removing a microwave vent hose - this works perfectly and took about ten seconds to install. Designed well to "pull" itself up into the hole.

I have never seen a ceiling cover plate like this before, and I am impressed. Normally you have two screw inserted into the cover plate which is fine, but when you look up you can tell theirs a ceiling plate by the two mounting screws head showing. This plate does not have that. You attach a plastic strap with two screws then you simply push the mounting plate stem into the center strap and press up until it hits the ceiling. Most ceiling is painted white so this white plate is hardly noticeable. Making installation extremely easy especially when you try to line up the screw holes in a electric ceiling box threw a solid plate. This one you can plainly see the holes where the screw fit. The plate is very sturdy and it fit perfect holding the ceiling plate tight to the ceiling. The appearance is great with no unsightly screws showing. Comes with everything you need and installing is a lot easier then others.
