I’ve replaced weather seals on a few doors… it’s an easy way to refresh the seal of an old door. Oh and if you have a door frame with the kerf cut weather seals, which is how most door frames in the past 30-40 years are made, please replace it with a kerf weather strip instead of any adhesive style weather strip. It’s virtually just as easy to install, and vastly better seal.You can purchase kerf style weather stripping at the home improvement box stores in straight sticks that doesn’t have the wrinkles this has from being curled for shipping. But the price point is not as good and does not include the wedge corner seals which odd the second most important piece of sealing off a doorway. This wedge is to be installed at the bottom of the frame against the threshold to seal against the bottom door sweep. This is the most common missing piece I see in most doorways. This weatherstripping comes curled up for shipping, time will tell how well it straightens out, but since it’s new material and with warmer summer weather I don’t expect that to be an issue.Installation was easy, just push it into the kerf by hand, I don’t know how the included roller tool would help, the shape of the weatherstrip don’t give any place for that tool to be used. Again, not a big deal because it can be installed by hand. Also includes a brush for cleaning out the kerf before installation. In my experience that generally not needed, but there may be some cases where it would be useful.The 40 foot length is long enough for two doorways, most entry doors are 80” tall and 32 or 36” wide, so enough for one of those doors plus a 6’ wide patio door, or even the extra tall 8’ doors.Also highly recommended is replacing the bottom door seal if you have the kerf style seals, but that is a much more difficult project that involves removing the door for access. That is not included with this, just an additional recommendation for a complete doorway reseal.Recommended buy

At first glance, this weather stripping seems like it will do the job it's supposed to do. The design is straightforward, and it looks like a reasonable replacement option if you need to refresh the seal around a door.That said, the overall quality doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. The material has a pretty cheap look and smell to it, and mine arrived with noticeable creases in a few sections. I'm hoping those work themselves out over time, but they definitely didn't leave the best first impression.For now, I'd give it 3 stars. It appears functional enough, but I'm not convinced it's going to hold up over the long term. If durability ends up being good, I'd feel differently, but based on what I received, I'm a little skeptical about its longevity.

This Treasem Kerf Weather Stripping Kit made a massive difference on my drafty exterior door. It comes as a complete package with a cleaning brush, corner seals, and a handy roller tool that makes pressing the V-shaped strip into the frame track a breeze.It sealed up some pretty large gaps effectively, and the white color blends beautifully with the frame. My home already feels much warmer, and I'm confident it’s going to help lower my energy bills. 40 feet is a generous amount of material, leaving me with a nice amount of leftovers for next time. I am convinced that the Treasem 40FT Kerf Weather Stripping Door Seal Kit with Roller Tool, Brush and 4 Corner Seals kit will help to recoup what you pay for it in energy savings alone. My issue is a new sliding door (from a major door and window manufacturer) that allows blowing snow to drift inside of my house (see picture). I need to do something about it and this door seal kit from Treasom is just the ticket. First off, the color is going to help it to not stand out as weather stripping on my light colored door. I love that everything I need for installation is included in the kit and that it fits into the grooves around my door. It is fairly easy to install and I am hopeful that next winter’s blowing snow won’t make its way inside my house!
