My ceiling fan came with an integrated light that uses 2x E12 intermediate-small screw base bulbs (Candelabra). I was able to find LED bulbs up to 60 watts, but they just never were very bright. I think this is because 1/2 of the light from E12 bulbs is directed upward instead of downward. This LED module is a single large LED bulb, and all the LEDs point downward. It easily produces 2x the amount of usable light.The installation was pretty straightforward since it is compact and fits right inside the housing for my light. The bulb has 3 "legs" with magnets. I am not sure if it is a requirement, but it helps if your fan has a flat metal base where the bulb sockets are located.I could have just spliced this bulb in and called it a day, but I chose to remove the old E12 sockets for a cleaner install. I used WACO connectors for the wiring to make replacing this bulb easy should that ever be necessary.The brightness is fantastic. It puts out plenty of light for the room, and I really like that you can switch between the three color temperatures to get the exact look you want. Whether you prefer a warm glow or a brighter daylight feel, it handles it easily. It's a solid upgrade and makes my older fans just like the newer ones made today.

Great backup light for my ceiling fans. The 18w should work even for 20w OEM, and some pretty simple rigging is worth it to avoid the high cost of custom (or impossible to replace) fixtures from the BORG. Yes, mounting may be a little difficult but the wiring is simple and won’t burn my house down. LED lights like these last 10years or more so it’s nice to have a backup instead of needing to replace your whole ceiling fan due to lack of replacement parts.

I tested this LED replacement kit, and the illumination is incredibly strong. To be completely honest, when I first turned it on, the light was so intense that it caught me off guard and temporarily blinded me. I actually had to stop recording my review for a moment to let my eyes recover because I was seeing spots. It puts out a serious amount of light. Because I installed it in a spot without a specialized switch, I was unable to test the dimming feature or the three different color temperatures (3000K, 4500K, and 6000K), but the default light is excellent.The installation and wiring are as simple as it gets. It is a two-wire setup connecting just the load and the neutral, so anybody can handle it. The package is very complete and includes three wire nuts and three mounting nuts. One feature that really surprised me is the strength of the magnets; it has an extreme magnetic pull that snaps tightly to the metal base and stays perfectly in place, giving it great stability.Although this is offered for ceiling fans, it is very versatile. I recently had a situation where I had to throw away a whole light fixture and buy a new one just because I couldn’t find the specific LED lights it came with. If I had known this product existed, I could have just ripped out the old components, snapped this module inside, and it would have looked factory-made. You can use this to save an expensive ceiling fan or a lamp you really like, or even use it to build custom lighting over a workbench.For the price, the quality and the overall value for money are excellent. I monitored it closely and did not observe any type of flickering. It is a very useful, high-quality product that can save you a lot of money.

This pancake style light is very easy to install on ceiling fans that already have a pancake style light. Old kit is disconnected from the two wires and pulled off the fan body, the new pancake light is electrically connected then magnetically stuck onto the fan body. It fits perfectly and is very bright. It is possible to remove E26 style light kits and install a pancake light light this but it requires a lot of additional parts and a lot of work.The pancake light seems to be well made and rather sturdy. The magnets work very well.The one thing I don't like about this light is that the light temperature can only be changed by turning the light off then immediately on again. It is very easy to accidently change the temperature.
