Gotta be honest I was really skeptical of this machine at first. I honestly did not think it would work to well but I kept an open mind and said ill give it a try. My lawn mower deck had broken so I really needed to get it fixed is why I got this to try. Its really super easy to use and it welded perfectly. Sometimes you have trouble getting an arc with welding machines but not this one. You touch it, it arcs and welds great. It tells you what to set the machine to based on size rods you're using. Id recommend it to anyone needing things fixed around your house it really is a great machine.

This is a great stick welder for general purposes, and a great starting welder for beginners. It is fairly easy to operate and can also be used for Lift TIG welding if you purchase a TIG setup (TIG torch, pure argon gas, a gas regulator flow meter and tungsten electrodes.)The Hot Start (prevents rod from sticking to cold metal), Arc Force (stabilizes arc) and Anti-Stick (prevents electrode from fusing to the metal) settings are fully adjustable. It has multiple safety features to prevent shock, overload, overcurrent, overheat and overvoltage. The machine will automatically stop when abnormal conditions occur, so if you're learning and the machine cuts off, this could be the reason. This welder comes with everything you need: electrode holder, ground clamp, a metal brush, welding rods, leather heat resistant gloves and welding glasses. The gloves are excellent and the glasses will work in a pinch, but I highly suggest getting better quality welding glasses. The compact size is great, it doesn't take up much storage space. The price is excellent, I am very happy with it.

I'm fairly impressed with this 200A Stick Welder by FGRSRZ as it's quite capable for such a compact machine. Setup was straightforward, and the large LED display makes it easy to dial in the settings. I appreciated the adjustable Hot Start, Arc Force, and Anti-Stick controls, which create a smooth, stable arc with less spatter than I expected from a welder in this size and price range. The Stick welding function performed very well for general repairs, and it's nice knowing that Lift TIG capability is available if I decide to expand my welding options later. The machine handled a variety of electrodes with no trouble, making it perfectly suitable for my small DIY projects.I'm struck by how lightweight (about 5 lbs) and portable this machine is, so it's been remarkably easy to carry around the garage. The included accessories are very helpful, so I was able to start using it right out of the box. Overall, this is a powerful, user-friendly portable welder that offers impressive performance, safety features, and convenience. As a beginner who has been able to get good use from it, I would absolutely recommend.

The size and weight of this portable welder is mind boggling for an old man like me who remembers when portable welders were the size of a suitcase and weighed 75lbs. This tiny thing can take a shoulder strap and be worn up a ladder. It weighs practically nothing. It also costs virtually nothing, as the old portables I mentioned before we're about 800 bucks. I put this entire rig into a duffle bag, it's so compact that there's really no excuse not to have a welder handy. But does it work? Well, while you have to dial it in as with any welder, it's useful enough but does require a bit of caution and finesse to keep from burning through thin steel and isn't the cleanest welds I've seen....but it does work. Unless you're really amazing with stick, you'll never run a stack of dimes with this rig, but it can do tacks and seams if you don't mind a bit of flap wheeling after the fact. Price continues to baffle me, the base unit should cost more, but then they throw in GOOD leather welding gloves, goggles, a brush and welding hammer plus some starter sticks, easily a kit in itself worth 25 to 30 dollars. This would be a fantastic starter kit for the young and curious especially, and I may have to pick up a couple for Xmas gifts.

I have a normal flux-core welder that I do most of my basic welding with, but sometimes you really have to use stick welders to get the proper weld (as well as bond certain materials together) so this has come in handy for that.It says it can get up to 200amps, it gets to about 2/3 of that, and that is running this off of a 20 amp 110v outlet. It can possibly do 200amps on pulse so that is probably what they are talking about. The goggles are okay, but if you can use a better mask you will be better off.I'm not deducting a star because this is a very good deal, for the money. If you want to start out on something via stick, this one will work fine, and it even includes some basic rods to work with too. I'd recommend you start with mild steel though, as welding stick takes some getting used to.

I’m not a welder by trade, but I put this unit on the bench, fired it up, and everything worked as expected. The LCD display is bright and easy to read, and the controls are straightforward. For a compact 110V machine, it feels well‑built and pleasantly lightweight. For basic DIY tasks, small repairs, or someone learning the basics, this appears to be a very capable little machine. The price is also noticeably lower than a lot of similar 2‑in‑1 stick/Lift TIG units. One minor defect to note: mine arrived with pit marks on the red finish. It doesn’t affect performance, and hopefully that’s not commonplace, but I included a photo for the record. From my perspective, it performs well for what it is — a compact, affordable welder aimed at home and hobby use. I’m deducting one star for the pitting, but at $59.99 with the coupon (current list is $69.99), this is an easy one to put in the cart.Final Score: 4 out of 5
