This is the 3rd tool from HX outdoors that I've used, and I have to say I'm very impressed.This is also a very good knife for the budget. It's a normal size for a pocket-clip knife, and due to the handle scale material, it's very light. The licking mechanism is a bit different than normal, but it works great. It's also really sleek. I'm usually not a fan of white tools but this one looks sharp. The blade itself is, as always with HX outdoors, impressively sharp and durable.These tools are made of very high quality materials.For the price I think you'll be very happy with the construction, quality, and utility of this knife.

I picked up this HX Outdoors folding knife mostly for the clean look and the contrast between the white scales and the green thumb stud. Out of the box, the presentation is decent, but how it actually performs is what matters most. This was my first knife from HX Outdoors, and didn't know what to expect.​The handle is made of Micarta and has a nice, tactile texture to it. It’s easy to grip and genuinely ergonomic. It sits comfortably in the hand and provides a secure hold without feeling slippery while working.​The blade is 14C28N stainless steel, and I've been using it every single day since I got it. I've put it to work cutting rope, snapping thick zip ties, and breaking down a ton of cardboard boxes. Despite the steady daily use, it hasn't lost its edge at all. The blade deploys smoothly, and the lock mechanism keeps it firmly in place with no play. After all the use, it still slices smoothly through paper and rope.​For everyday carry, the pocket clip does exactly what it needs to do. It slides deep into the pocket and stays out of the way until you need it. The clip is tight and hasn't deformed, and can be moved to the opposite side. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable tool that handles real work without any fuss. I will definitely be looking at HX Outdoors for my next knife.

There's something about this knife that I can't quite put my finger on. I really, really like it. I really like the shape, look and feel of the handle. I love the look of the blade. It looks like it has some sort of silver coating on it, but not a bland monochrome one but one that reminds me of a high performance Ferrari brake rotor or something.I also like that the clip isn't ridiculously tight like some; it's not a struggle to clip onto my jean pocket. And I like the locking mechanism, though that does lead me to the one part that could be better in my opinion. The crossbar lock is one I've often seen on more expensive knives like my Benchmade, but on this knife the spring is very stiff. I can move it with my thumb from just one side, but only just and it bites into my skin pretty hard. It's easy using a finger on one side and my thumb on the other, but then I need my other hand to close the blade. On my Benchmade I can close it very easily one handed.Also, it's probably not important to most people but the sound of it opening is a bit duller than a lot of folding knives you can flick open in some way. It's not a bad thing, it's just not quite as satisfying.

I was on the edge of a 4 and 5 star review, but rounded up because though a 4 stars would be too harsh. The only very minor less than positive thing I can say about this knife is when releasing it from the locked position, I found it easier to use both sides of the crossbar lock instead using your thumb to pull one side back. You can do it, but it doesn't really like to be released using only one side for some reason, it's a little too stiff and rough feeling. Using both sides it works very well and is very smooth. Maybe it will loosen up with time. Like I said, not an issue, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it will loosen up in time and be smoother.The handle is nice, with a scale pattern. It's not really deeply textured and so not highly non-slip, and it still feels mostly smooth if you run your finger along the handle. You can see where the pattern was etched onto the handle if you hold it at an angle in the light, so it's not very smooth and slick either. The color is nice, but it's a darker green than some images show, one of the more accurate being the second photo on the product page. However, that photo shows light lines and that isn't how it actually looks, it's much more blended and uniform. The blade is nice and sharp out of the box, and it feels good in the hand. I generally wear a large size glove for reference. I like the knife, it's a good one for the price in my opinion.

I generally go for bigger and nicer knives than this one but i got this one to have as heavy use edc knife. Its not nearly as beautiful as a lot of my other knives but it functions very well for all sorts of cutting tasks. The blade is hair popping sharp out of the box and I like the micarta scales. What makes it such a great edc knife is the size and weight of it plus how effective the blade is. Its not crazy comfy ergonomically but it fits my hand fine and isnt sň

I really like this pocket knife, I got it for a gift for my uncle. He has a good knife that he carries daily, but it's an older lockback style that isn't as easy or as quick to deploy, isn't as sharp and is pretty heavily worn. So this is a great upgrade for him, and he really seems to love it already! It also comes very nicely packaged, and includes a very nice microfiber cloth to help keep it clean.The quality is excellent too. The micarta handle is super solid. There is zero blade play. The blade comes shaving sharp right out of the box and made of an excellent grade of steel with exceptional edge retention. The crossbar lock is rock solid. The pocket clip is nice and solid. (Though, I do wish it was tip down carry) And when the crossbar is held down the blade falls easily into the closed position. And lastly the detent that holds the blade in place has just the right amount of tension on it and with the dual sided thumb stud you can quickly and easily flick it open with either hand!In terms of value, it's certainly on the on the expensive side for a knife of its size that doesn't have a famous makers name on it and isn't made with any truly exotic materials. But that being said, considering the build quality, the features, and everything else, I think it's actually worth every bit of the $69.99 current price. And I absolutely would 100% but it again.As always if I encounter any issues or think of anything else to add I'll update this review!
