I purchased this to use on my desk as a work area for Lego. I love it. It keeps pieces from sliding around and bouncing off the desk. It's very well made and seems like it should last for many years to come.

First of all, this mat is MASSIVE compared to a majority of the alternatives offered, and not only that, but it’s priced better than a majority of them as well. Quality and durability are great, versatility and functionality are great… honestly, it’s the best value for your money - hands down!

This thing is HUGE! I measured before getting it, but I guess I didn't realize how large it really is!There is plenty of room for most soldering activities. I've used it for several projects already. I like the "pockets" at the top of the mat, they are very helpful when disassembling anything. I keep all the screws in order with these organizing pockets. Since the mat area is so large, I also use the mat to layout all my cabling and connectors/pins ahead of time.I like how thick the mat is too, its thick and sturdy but not so thick that it becomes a nuisance. It definitely protects my work surface from any heat damage or spills.I can roll this mat up and pack it away nicely on my bench shelf too, its quite flexible so it its easy to pack up!If I had one addition or change to make to it, it would be nice to have a spot with some magnetic material - to help hold any magnetic odds and ends in one place. Not a big deal though. 5 stars if they add a magnet area!This has been an excellent addition to my electronics work bench!
