A small amount of this glass fiber goes a long way... be careful of how much you use and add more water to accommodate how it works with the concrete... our first batch we ended up needing to split into thirds and add more mix to them as we put in way too much fiber... good quality, good price. The finished product was able to be much thinner than previous batches due to having this inside the mix so it definitely helps with durability.

I ordered this 3/4 glass fiber to help in the creation of GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) planters for my yard. Of course that will not happen by itself. I like to put medium size water bowls I make from concrete around the yard for birds and the local wildlife. And I've noticed even the neighborhood dogs like them. Over time I've noticed they get small cracks and fissures and this is the right solution to mix with my concrete to resolve that issue.It comes simply packaged, a brown box with the glass fibers inside a plastic bag. The bag opens enough to easily retrieve and weigh what you need to mix in.I'm still waiting for the bowls to cure and the long test over the summer. The fiberglass mixed in great and I noticed there appeared to be less air in the concrete when I shook it. Wish the goal is for the last fibers to fill in air pockets and provide additional strength for the concrete. The shape looks really smooth so far, though I haven't released it from the mold yet. Overall and easy and powerful addition to my concrete shenanigans. Be sure to wear PPE when you mix your concrete as well as when handling fiberglass.
