A gold tone cover plate caps the ceiling box, completing a finished look. It accepts G9 bulbs (not included) with a max wattage of 60.Follow the included instructions, particularly about safely turning off the power to the existing light. Once the existing light is removed, this unit bolts up to the empty ceiling box and is wired as described in the instructions. The wire is fed through the down rod. Love these Pendant Lights. Got these to use for my vanity in bathroom. Trying something new and pairing with a vanity light with multiple frosted globes. In the middle of remodeling house so no pics yet but did hard wire to a supply wire and they work great and should be exactly what im envisioning. Best part im yhe contractor so if looks bad patch and remove no biggie but I think it will look awesome.The fixture itself is extremely well made definitely exceeds expectations. The brass is bright but not over powering. The globes have a brass fitting that screws to the fixture which I like a lot. Not huge at all like 8" globes. Can pick length of down rod so thats always a plus. Installation is like any you will need a ceiling box. These are not super heavy so an old construction cut in would work fine but definitely check if trusses in the way. There are several options of boxes just make sure to get one that will work for your situation.All in all this is a beautiful pair of simple pendant lights with a frosted globe. Not.fancy but the brass on the globe make them a lot more elegant.

I have been remodeling my entire house for the past few months. It’s not a huge remodeling project, so I am not replacing appliances, furniture, or cabinets. Instead, I am painting every room, installing new carpeting, and changing hardware and light fixtures. I ordered this pair of light fixtures to replace the two lights in one of my hallways.The light fixture arrived in protective Styrofoam packaging, which I took pictures of. And when I took all the parts out the box, I was very happy with the way everything looked and felt. The metal hardware, mounting bracket, wiring, and glass globes all felt very well-made. The gold finish has a nice look to it and doesn’t have that overly, shiny look that you see in cheaper lights. And the glass globe shades also look and feel great. Their softer appearance is exactly what I was looking for.Since I am using the fixtures for my hallway lights, I did not want to have bright lighting from exposed-bulb fixtures. Even though my previous hallways lights had standard E26 sockets, I only used low wattage light bulbs in them because dimmer lighting looks much better. So, when I first saw that these lights use G9 bulbs, I was ok with it. However, I then read in the product description that the lights have heat-resistant, ceramic sockets that are rated up to 60 watts, which is a huge plus because it gives you the flexibility to use higher wattage halogen G9 bulbs. I actually already own another chandelier light that uses G9 bulbs. And each socket can only handle a maximum of 12 watts. When I went to buy 12 watt G9 LED bulbs for that chandelier, I found out that the better-known bulb manufacturers only sell G9 LED bulbs at relatively low wattages, often around the 4-to-7-watts. That’s because higher-powered LED G9 bulbs have reliability issues and they tend to flicker. So, it really is nice knowing that this light fixture is capable of handling brighter halogen bulbs (60W). And if you prefer halogen over LEDS but you don’t want too much light, you can still stick with halogen and use lower wattage ones, like 20W. That’s because halogen bulbs produce excellent color quality, turn on instantly, and, in my opinion, make colors look more natural than LEDs. And to test these lights out, I actually bought 60 watt halogen bulbs and installed them in the sockets and I kept them on for a few hours. And there were no issues at all and the lights were very bright.These are not only very well-made lights but they look great as well. The heat-resistant sockets that are each rated up to 60 watts gives you huge flexibility in choosing the brightness level for the lights. Getting a pair of these lights at its current list price of $70 is a great deal, especially considering the quality. They look perfect in my hallway and I highly recommend them.
