Brushed Black Metalized Finish Molding Trim

This brushed black metalized molding trim arrived in good condition and appears to be very good quality. The finish looks attractive, and the material seems flexible enough for a variety of DIY decorating projects. The peel and stick backing also appears like it will make installation straightforward.I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet because I'm saving it for our house that's currently being repaired and renovated. That home doesn't have nearly as many decorative details as the house we're currently living in, which we now have up for sale, so I'm looking forward to using this trim to add some stylish finishing touches and a more custom look.From what I've seen so far, the price seems very reasonable for the amount you receive. If it performs as well as it looks, I think it will be a great value and a simple way to enhance walls, mirrors, or other areas that could use a decorative upgrade.

Very nice looking, a lovely border for so many areas. Textured and the metallic finish with the black is very subdued so not tacky, more professional and nice looking. Easy to apply, not too thick but quality and durable. You receive a decent amount for the price and can really border anything you like. Thick enough to be seen but not overwhelming. The size is perfect.

This is a high quality, well made molding. It's true to color and size. It comes with a strong adhesive backing. It has a smooth finish. It's easy to use. I think it's a great value for your money.

I was surprised by the weight of this when currently it seems like most manufacturers are using lightweight flimsy materials especially when it comes to metals. I’m impressed by the quality. I admit I haven’t installed it yet because as it comes rolled up, I want to let it stretch out flat for a bit prior to installing. So I can’t yet review the strength of the adhesive and since I plan to use in an enclosed bathroom which gets high humidity even with fan, I will most likely be adding additional adhesive which wouldn’t be needed in a different room. The look and feel of this is quality. For the price I am quite impressed

We’re doing some kitchen updates, and I have some ideas for using this self-adhesive metal trim moulding (the brushed black finish perfectly matches the “black stainless” appliances in our kitchen- YMMV). It’s thick enough to hold form and stay flat, but malleable enough to bend easily, and the adhesive backing seems plenty strong to hold well. All good.

I ordered this in a smaller width than needed because I wanted to try it out to see how well it would work first. I have a nouveau art plant basket with metal edging and most of the edging has come off over the years. I was interested to see if this would adhere well, and if so, planned to order the wider molding or perhaps double this up side by side, had not really decided yet. Having said that, when I got this I snipped off a small piece as a test, cleaned off the edge of the basket where I was replacing the trim, removed the sticky back tape, and attached it. I held the edging in place with my thumb for quite a while after attaching the piece, then I removed the plastic protective cover. I let the piece stay for several days and then came back to it, when I put my fingernail up to it to see how strong the adhesive was it immediately popped right off. I often use double-sided tape on other projects and am very familiar with quality ones, I do not feel the strength of this double-sided tape was very good at all. I tried to reattach it and it would stick for a few minutes but would immediately come back off again, eventually it would not stick at all as you can see from the back side. I also feel that the finish did not get a high quality mark from me as the only thing I had done was flip it over to take the picture and it seems like the finish scratched very easily just on my tile floor. I would give the glue 1 star and the metal moulding appearance 5 stars, however I would only give the sturdiness or ruggedness of the finish 3 stars. I think there are probably some good uses for this, but definitely not those as advertised - for example sticking to walls or cabinets without applying your own (very strong!) double sided tape. In my opinion this could not be applied in any high flow areas and would need to be limited to some small and out of the way decorative applications in which you are willing to add considerably to the adhesive strength.

... very robust and offers a great appearance. Be cautioned the edges are quite sharp so protective gloves are advised. The adhesive backing is very substantial and sticks well - just apply firm even pressure for 30 to 60 seconds to activate the bonding process. Recommended
