I ordered this door handle with knob to use on my front door in conjunction with a smart lock that I recently acquired. My wife likes the style of this handle better than the one that came with the smart lock so I was glad it popped up in my Amazon feed.Installation is typically pretty easy, you just pull the old door knob out and replaced it with this one. The existing holes in your door should work great. In my case, I was replacing a 100 year old lock, the style that's mortised into the edge of the door, so I had the extra steps of removing the old lock, filling the mortise with a custom cut block of hardwood and epoxy, and then drilling the holes for a modern door knob. But you shouldn't have to do all of that if you're house is newer than mine.I should note that I got a little lucky with the install because I was drilling new holes and was able to locate the new knob so it wouldn't run into the doorknob on my screen door. There's not a lot of room between the two doors when they're both closed and the door knobs hitting each other was a real possibility. That's something to keep in mind if you have a screen door.This door knob feels sturdy and its finish is really nice. It fits and works well, which is actually saying something since our front door is a big, heavy, solid wood door. It needs a sturdy handle like this one to open it.The picture shows my newly installed door handle. I still need to paint the door but I'm waiting for a nicer day before I break out the painting supplies. Overall, I'm very happy with how it worked out. It was a long overdue project that I'm glad to get done.

Works pretty good given its low acquisition cost. The exterior thumb-lever and the interior door knob operate the bolt with ease and authority. Feels solid.I couldn't install it on my front door unless I was willing to mortise the edge of the door to sink the flat plate that guides the bolt out of the door and into the door jamb.Also, it was difficult to use the wire rod to locate the spring-loaded catch that keeps the door knob attached to the hollow shaft that holds the door knob. You have to be able to remove the round door knob in order to be able to access the screws that secure the interior facing part to the exterior part of this door handle.But again, for the price, not a bad deal at all.

Recently, I installed two keyless deadbolt locks on my front and back doors. The locks have a matte black finish. The problem is that they do not match my existing polished chrome door knobs. It really is not a good look. So, I decided to replace the door knob on my back door with this one.This is definitely not your typical door handle. Not only does it look great but the quality is amazing as well. All the parts have a good sturdy feel and weight to them. It was very easy to install, especially if you have experience putting in door knobs. And it was easy to adjust it to fit my door setup. The black finish looks great and matches my deadbolt perfectly. I also like how no fingerprint smudges are left behind because of the matte finish. And both the inside knob and outside handle opened and closed the door smoothly and the latch worked perfectly.This handle looks great, feels durable, and gave my back door a much better look. Most importantly, the door opens and closes with no issues at all. I think it's definitely worth its price, especially considering its quality.
