I like this a lot, not that my gear doesn't already have reflective stripping, but more safety is always welcome. These charge under any kind of light and last for a couple of hours. I just ran them under water for cleaning or slapped them against my pants to knock the dust off. You can shove small tools into the band to keep handy.I tried these on structure, wildland, construction and bike helmets for fit. With the stretch, you can get them on. What I would recommend are clips to hold the band. Helmets without this don't perform so well. These are very good for work or just a person outside in the dark, but pick up something to hold the band on your helmet.

I don't own a fireman helmet but I got this for my bicycle helmet. It's pretty elastic that I was able to fit it over the helmet. It has enough grip and hold to not slip off on its own. I opted to get the band with the utility holes in case I might just want to use it to hold a skinny flashlight/blinker/screwdriver/long step rose.. or whatever! To really get it glowing, it needs a bit of time with intense light, but it will be glowing after that.This feels like pretty good quality. Not super thin where it might tear after being stretched out. And when I installed it ontomy bicycle helmet, I really pulled and tugged at it to get it to fit, and it's still good!
