I already have a low voltage landscape lighting system around my house, but I needed some step lights that were compatible with the same voltage (24v AC) so I ordered these.The light fixtures are attractive looking, done in a bronze finish. I find that this color blends in well with pretty much any style and is more discrete than all black fixtures in most cases. The exterior is metal and the backing (unseen when installed) is plastic. The leads from the fixture are nice and long at about 2 feet, which makes installation a little easier - particularly for steps. Each fixture is sealed and no bulbs or other parts are user replaceable. The light is also quite thin since it’s meant to be surface mounted.The kit includes sealed fixtures, mounting screws, plugs to cover the screw holes once mounted, and tap-style connector to attach the light to you main line power source.Installation is straightforward. After choosing a location, such as a step, drill a small hole to pass the wire through; a 1/4-inch hole is more than enough for the included cable. Use two screws to mount the fixture to the surface, then insert the plugs over the screws for a cleaner, more finished look.The included tap style connector allows you to place the ends of the lead into the connector and then the connector over your main line power cable. Small “teeth” in the connector will puncture the jacket of the cable so you don't need to do any splicing.The fixture utilizes a small strip of LEDs to provide the light. The brightness is more than adequate for a stepped light and the color temperature can be changed by using a small button on the underside of the light fixture. The button is accessible even after mounting, which is nice.

It took me a while to get these lights installed, but that was due to a lack of planning on my part. Out of the box they are well built, solid, clean and functional. The cord groove on the back allows for a number of installation options to hide the cord. The three intensity settings and variety of colors let you customize the look and power consumption. I have these set up on a solar power grid, so no inverter was needed, running straight on 12 volt batteries. I added a photocell to the circuit so they turn on dusk to dawn. Hopefully they make the step off my deck more obvious to guests.My only nit pick is with the clamp on wire connectors. The hang tab at top sits in a few millimeters from the back, so if you tighten it down it tips off the mounting surface. Also, if you look really closely in the right light you can notice the black screw plugs on a dark brown light frame. At night, they look perfect!

These deck step lights work great as part of a low-voltage outdoor lighting setup. They connect easily with a standard 12VAC transformer, just like the rest of my landscape lighting.Each light has two separate buttons that let you adjust both color temperature and brightness without needing to dismount them — a nice, practical feature for fine-tuning the look after installation. The bronze finish is attractive and holds up well outdoors, with a rating that should handle the elements fine.Overall, a well-built, functional set of step lights that's easy to integrate into an existing low-voltage lighting system.

I am having the steps extended and adding a wrap around step to my front door area and got these to 'build in' to the step as they were being built. Fortunately they are not very deep so I won't need to recess them too much and I'm going to insert plastic pipe for the wires into the cement as its poured. Once its underway I'll update this review and show pictures of what we did.So far though the quality looks great and I think they're going to look really classy.

There so easy to add in to an existing low voltage system. Comes with a wire clip that allows you to tap into wires without cutting them. These lights are easier to install compared to the old ones. These just drill hole for wire in kick plates. The old ones before leds you gotta cut a rectangle hole in kick plates. It also has two buttons underneath it to change something.

Aunque finalmente no pude instalarlas porque mi escalón ya estaba construido y estas luces requieren instalación empotrada, sí pude revisar su calidad y me dejaron una muy buena impresión. Se sienten resistentes, el acabado en bronce es elegante y la posibilidad de elegir entre varias temperaturas de color es un excelente detalle. Si estás construyendo o remodelando y puedes hacer el espacio para empotrarlas, parecen ser una muy buena opción para iluminación exterior.

These are attractive, well-built LED step lights with a lot of flexibility. Whether you're installing them in stair risers, retaining walls, or along walkways, they look like they'll provide excellent low-level accent and safety lighting.One feature I particularly appreciate is the selectable color temperature and adjustable brightness. As someone who strongly prefers warm outdoor lighting, I was happy to see they offer a true 2700K setting. That's exactly where these will stay. The cooler settings are available if you want them...although I can't help but think 5000K should come with a note asking, "Are you sure?" 😄 (Don't go 5000k, Carl)The bronze finish looks great, the build quality appears solid, and the IP65 weather rating gives me confidence they'll hold up well outdoors. If you're looking for quality step or pathway lighting with the flexibility to dial in the exact look you want, these are definitely worth considering. Ease of installation will depend on the design of your space, but these will go nicely with whatever you choose.
