These brackets are great. I’m using them on the wall to make a fold‑out table, and they’re sturdy enough to hold a good amount of weight without feeling flimsy.They fold up and down easily, so it’s simple to get the table out of the way when you’re not using it. The heavy‑duty feel is definitely there.They also work really well on the end of a workbench. When you need a little extra surface, you just flip them up and you’re good to go. The hardware feels solid, and once they’re locked in place, there’s no wobble or sagging.Overall, they’re a solid pick. I'd use my own hardware if you're going got heavy duty. Otherwise it's easy to use, and perfect for saving space while still giving you a sturdy work surface.

These folding brackets are stronger than I expected. I used them to build a 2' x 4' folding workbench in my garage, and they work great. This hardware allowed me to turn a tabletop into a space-saving laundry station. I was working with a plain stainless steel tabletop, so the utilitarian matte black aesthetic is just fine for my purpose. The hinged brackets are nothing special to look at, but are clearly meant for function and not decoration. Thanks to the wide range of sizes, I was able to fit the brackets right to the table edge for maximum support. This solution was much cheaper than buying a prefabricated folding laundry table. The brackets are easy to unfold and lock into place, and the work surface feels reassuringly sturdy when extended. The only drawback is that the brackets don’t rest completely flat when folded, due to the slot design. It’s not a dealbreaker and maybe there’s no getting around this mechanically. But it’s worth accounting for in your planning, so you leave some wiggle room for how much it sticks out from the wall. You are still sure to save a ton of space versus a stationary work table or fixed shelf!

worked, little annoying to screw in the upper two as you need a really long and thin extension on you driver to get past the angled pieces, but seems to hold decently for my use. release and retract smoothly. Long term last has yet to be discovered.

Duuuuuuuude!! These are awesome!! I love having "retractable" shelves, because sometimes you need the space and sometimes you need the storage. These, however, will not be shelves. These will be used in the kitchen, for a folding cutting board/prep station. Maybe not all 4, that part is yet to be figured out. I did try these out though to see just how strong they are and I can confidently say that the claims they make of holding 100+ pounds is legit. I used my bathroom scale across them and slowly applied pressure until I felt it start to give out. I did use a makeshift wall with plywood and 2x4 pieces and it was going to rip out of that before it broke. Super easy to install, and they provide all the pieces you need to make it a nearly permanent fixture. Its kind of amazing actually, how strong they are. These are also fairly decent looking, or at least not an eyesore when they're opened up. At the end of the day they're still large complex pieces of hardware and will add a kind of industrial feel to the space, but they aren't awful or obnoxiously prevalent to the point they stand out above what they're holding up. I'm gonna buy more at different lengths for other projects, but these ones have a destiny I've been thinking about for a long time and I'm so stoked to have found these so I can finally turn that thought into a reality.

I got four of these 22" length metal folding shelf brackets (brand:: Ravinte) to make two pop-up tables.Installation was easy and speedy with a power drill, a long driver bit, and a level.  For the first one, I used a 24" X 30" Baltic birch plywood as the table top (as pictured).   The included hardware was used to fasten the brackets to the wood studs.  They are holding up really well.   I probably should have added two wood strips to the underside of the table so the screws would not have poked through the surface.  I need to buy shorter screws to replace the existing ones ...The locking levers on the brackets are easy to operate.  To release the locks, simply press the lever down.  When the wood top is flipped to a right angle, the lock mechanism engages, securely.   These metal brackets are strong, of good quality, look and feel nice with smooth edges.  Though my folding table has a 2-inch overhang, it is very stable. The listing does not specify the load rating.  As I will be using them for worktable support, I am not concerned about overloading or that the stud screws may get pulled out. They have more than enough strength for my uses. However, if one is to use these as shelf brackets to support heavy items in the garage or workshop, it'd be helpful to obtain the information from the seller.These folding brackets make it so easy to create a simple workstation that can be folded down quickly when not in use.  They are space-saving while also handy to offer extra work space for occasional use. I also love that it is customizable.  I can make it with real nice and great-looking solid wood or inexpensive plywood for make-shift utility tables. At the time of order, they were about $50 for two pairs   Though some simple workstations can be had for about $25 apiece, these offer greater flexibility and easier storage. Love the functionality and ease of installation for my current needs.
