Finding genuine pure copper wire at a reasonable price is harder than it should be because a lot of what's out there is copper clad aluminum dressed up to look like the real thing. Stripped the end of this and it's the right color all the way through which is the first thing you check. 6 gauge is the right size for battery cables, inverter wiring, and solar runs where you're actually pushing current. The terminal lugs and heat shrink included in the package are a nice touch that saves a separate hardware run. 20 feet of each color gives you plenty to work with on most installs without having to piece together multiple sections. Four stars, solid wire that I'll buy again as long as the quality stays consistent.

This review is for "6 AWG Battery Cable 20FT Black & 20FT Red, 6 Gauge Pure Copper Heavy Duty Wire with Terminal Lugs & Heat Shrinks, for Automotive RV Marine Inverter Solar & Welding Use", JURPLIX Model JL6G-40FT (ASIN B0GVSMXLF7). Title and ASIN are included in the review because sometimes reviews get re-sorted and are no longer associated with the correct product. The JURPLIX 6 AWG Battery Cables shipped quickly and was packaged in a brown envelope (unpadded). Within the shipping envelope, the battery cables arrived retail packaged in a very distressed cardboard box with a label on one side. Inside the cardboard box was coiled red and black cables each held with two cable ties and a clear seal top bag containing two smaller clear seal top bags. One of the smaller bags contains five pieces of black heat shrink tubing and five lugs marked 6x5/16 and the other smaller bag contains five pieces of red heat shrink tubing and five lugs marked 6x3/8. I examined the cable jacket and found that the only markings are length in meters (e.g., "3700m"). The cable jacket does not indicate gauge, temperature rating, or conductor composition.I picked up the red coil of wire and I was about to uncoil it to measure/verify the length when the gleam of one cut end caught my eye. What I saw was TWO colors, not one: the reddish brown I'd expect for pure copper wire, plus a silver color on numerous cut wires in the center of the conductor. This is what I'd expect for a CCA wire (copper clad aluminum), not for a pure copper wire. I looked at the other end of the red wire and at the ends of the black wire and I saw the same thing on all. I stripped an inch of jacket from one end of the JURPLIX wire, separated the strands and scraped one fiber with a razor to see what color it was. The color of the exposed strand was indeed a lighter color than the rest. But is it lighter because the strand is CCA, or is it lighter because light is catching the flattened/scraped strand differently?I rummaged through my bins for another piece of similar gauge wire which I'm confident is pure copper. I found several short pieces which are tinned pure copper (i.e., marine grade). These all look silver on the outside but have the reddish-brown color of copper inside, which is easy to see when compared with the tinned exterior. I finally found some ancient 6AWG wire which I've not used because it's not very flexible -- instead of dozens of teensy strands it has just 19 thick strands. I scraped a fiber, and sure enough the color is lighter, just like the JURPLIX. I then cut the end clean and once again I saw a lighter color, just like the JURPLIX. I'll conclude that the JURPLIX is indeed pure copper, as advertised.I decided to check the JURPLIX lugs to see if the silver-colored lugs have the reddish brown of copper beneath the surface. With a sharp blade I scraped the surface of one of the lugs and saw the copper color. So, the lugs are tinned/clad and have a copper core (this is done to prevent oxidation/corrosion). Excellent.I'll be using the JURPLIX wires to extend a solar run, and the 6AWG wire size will easily handle the PV current I'll be sending through it. Perfect!

This cable kit feels well made and worked great for higher-current projects like inverters, battery connections, and solar setups. The pure copper wire is flexible enough to route cleanly while still feeling durable, and the included terminal lugs plus heat shrink tubing make the kit much more convenient than sourcing everything separately. The insulation also feels thick and rugged enough for automotive, RV, or marine environments. The red and black color coding helps keep installations clean and organized, and the cable handled power loads without noticeable heat issues during testing. Overall, it’s a solid wiring kit for anyone working on electrical upgrades, off-grid systems, or custom power setups.

Cable quality feels strong and flexible enough for routing in automotive and RV setups. Included lugs and heat shrink make installation much easier.Used for an inverter setup and power delivery was clean with no noticeable voltage drop.Feels like a professional-grade wiring kit and is well suited for high-current applications.

I ordered this JURPLIX cable set to wire up some new batteries in my solar build and I am really impressed with the quality of the wire. You can tell right away that it is actual pure copper and not that cheap copper-clad aluminum stuff because of the weight and how easy it is to work with. Having 20 feet of both black and red gave me plenty of length to run my lines exactly where I needed them without having to worry about running short. The insulation is thick but still flexible enough to snake through tight corners in the battery box. It was a nice touch that they included the terminal lugs and heat shrinks so I didn’t have to go hunting for the right sizes separately. I used them for my marine inverter as well and the connections are rock solid with zero power drop. If you are doing any heavy duty wiring for an RV or a boat, this 6 gauge kit is exactly what you need.

I picked up this cable to run main power to a trolling motor on a jon boat I am building. It is really good quality, stranded wire with a tough yet very flexible insulation. This is just what I needed for a boat build, there are lots of tight bends and a flexible cable is crucial for an easy pull. The insulation is slick too, so it slides through small spaces easily. It comes with all the terminals needed and was easy to setup. I am very happy with the result. It handles the current of the trolling motor easily and doesn't even get warm to the touch.I am very happy with this purchase and will definitely purchase again when I build the next jon boat. It is good quality material at a good price!

Great heavy duty cable. Good thick feeling insulation that looks the real deal. Wire is soft enough to route easily without too much resistance. Appreciate it coming with the lugs and heat shrink instead of you having to source extras. Seems to be truly copper as listed. Great deal for the length if so. Worked for what I needed on my UTV.

If electricity had highways, this would be an interstate. The cable feels substantial, the copper conductors are flexible enough to work with, and the included lugs and heat shrink tubing make installation easier. Great for batteries, inverters, solar systems, RV electrical upgrades, marine projects, and welding setups.Voltage drop stays low thanks to the heavy gauge construction, and the insulation feels durable enough for demanding environments.Overall, a solid wiring kit that inspires confidence when moving serious current.
