Overall, I'm pleased with this kit. The dust collection bowl itself feels pretty flimsy and mine arrived slightly warped, but it still did what it was supposed to do and captured the vast majority of the dust. While boring holes in my ceiling, I could see a small amount of dust escaping, but there was so little that I couldn't find any noticeable dust on the floor or on the TV stand directly below where I was working. The kit doesn't include any instructions, but assembly was straightforward if you're mechanically inclined. The included hole saw also cut cleanly through the drywall with no tear-out around the edge where the cut started. For the price, it's well below the cost of the comparable Milwaukee version I've seen at Home Depot, and it got the job done. That said, I only cut two holes, so I can't speak to how well it would hold up on a larger project requiring dozens of cuts. For the average DIYer tackling a small project or home upgrade, I think it's worth buying. In my case, it'll probably spend the rest of its life sitting on a high shelf in the garage until I need to cut another ceiling hole years from now—if ever.

I bought this to cut holes for recessed lighting and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. The saw cuts well and the dust bowl catches everything, which makes cleanup a breeze. If you've ever cut drywall without any kind of dust collection, you know how messy it gets, so having that bowl right there doing its job is a big deal. The kit comes with everything you need to get started: the hole saw, the dust bowl, a drill rod, a spare drill bit, and a hex wrench. Assembly is straightforward and it gets to work quickly once you're set up. For a 6-3/8 inch cut size, it's right on target for standard recessed lighting installations.Nothing much to complain about here. It cuts well and the dust collection does what it promises. If you're planning to install recessed lights and want to keep your workspace clean, this kit handles both parts of that job without any hassle.

This 6-inch hole saw is a high-quality tool that makes installing recessed lighting a much cleaner and faster process. The bi-metal construction feels heavy-duty and durable, easily cutting sharp, precise circles through drywall, wood, and thin metal without binding or tearing the edges. The teeth stay sharp even after multiple cuts, ensuring a consistent and professional finish. The inclusion of the dust bowl is a major advantage, effectively trapping plaster and wood shavings to keep the workspace clean and protect your eyes while cutting overhead. The assembly is straightforward, and the mandrel provides a secure, wobble-free connection to the drill. For the price, the combination of a rugged cutting edge and a practical cleanup solution offers excellent value for any remodeling or installation project.

After hiring contractors to repair a ceiling that had been damaged by a leak, I assumed reinstalling the recessed lighting would be part of the job. It wasn’t. Once the drywall work was finished, I was left with a smooth ceiling and no openings for the lights. Rather than call the crew back, I decided to tackle that portion myself. This hole saw made the job manageable. The size was right for my recessed fixtures, and it cut clean, round openings in the new drywall without a lot of fuss. The dust-catching bowl was helpful since I was working overhead and trying not to create another mess right after the ceiling had been repaired. The cutouts were neat enough that the trim rings covered everything perfectly. The tool felt sturdy, cut smoothly, and gave professional-looking results even though electrical work and drywall repair aren’t things I do every day. The bi-metal construction also appears durable enough for future projects rather than being a one-time-use tool.

This hole saw kit cuts through drywall, wood, and light metal very cleanly and smoothly. The six inch size is perfect for recessed lighting installations, and the bi metal construction stays sharp even after multiple cuts. The included dust bowl does a great job catching most of the mess, which made ceiling work much less painful.I was able to knock out several clean holes quickly with minimal effort. The arbor is sturdy and everything stayed aligned well during use.My only problem was with the packaging, which deformed the sleeve/ bowl slightly during shipping. It did not affect performance at all (I think), but it was a bit disappointing to open. Overall this is still a high quality tool that delivers great results for the job. Highly recommend for anyone installing recessed lights.

I am installing recessed lights in my family room and needed a reliable 6-inch hole saw for the job. This kit turned out to be the perfect solution for what I needed. The saw is high quality and felt well balanced once I attached it to my drill. The construction is sturdy, and the teeth dug into the sheetrock without binding or jumping, which made for a really clean finish on the ceiling. The included dust bowl really makes a difference in the amount of time it took to do the job. It was so nice to be able to cut the holes without having to move all the furniture or cover everything in the room with plastic. It caught the dust perfectly and saved me a lot of cleanup time. I also really like that the saw and all the parts store right inside the bowl. This keeps it all together in one place for storage in my shop.

I am in the process of remodeling the third floor of my house. In the hallway, the ceiling is really low, so using a light fixture, even one with a low-profile, would look out of place. So, I decided to install a row of 6-inch, recessed lights into the ceiling. However, for some reason, I did not have a 6-inch hole saws in my entire Milwaukee set. I actually had every size up until 5 inches. So, when I saw that this 6-inch hole saw had everything I needed, including a dust collection bowl and an extra drill bit, I went ahead and ordered it.When the hole saw first arrived, I was immediately impressed with the quality of the material. The metal had a real strong durable feel and weight to it, and it was clear that it was made to drill into metal as well. The plastic dust collection bowl is also great quality and it is highly flexible, which I realized was a big plus when I started to drill because you can easily bend it back so you can get a better view of the hole you are about to drill. My ceiling is thick pine wood and the saw made quick work of it. It cut through wood no different than my Milwaukee hole saws, which made me even more confident that the saw was definitely rated for metal. And all of the saw dust went right into the collection bowl. It was amazing!I highly recommend this 6-inch, bi-metal hole saw set. It is a durable saw that is made from strong metal. And it is extremely sharp and cut through wood exactly like my Milwaukee saws. There is no reason to overpay for a brand name when you can get this quality hole saw at a great price. I highly recommend it.
